I'd have accepted same as last season.
I'm not deluded by the quality of our so-called players. But the regression this term has been stark. Perhaps it's understandable. The manager probably feels in limbo or underappreciated for doing good work to keep us alive in the top flight in very difficult circumstances. But the Friedkins must realise that you cannot string along a lame duck manager in the hope of not having to pay him off because players realise he is a lame duck and start to tune out. That's what's happened. Nobody has any security, and the Texans have gambled and failed. Unless they were merely waiting for their moment. Well, if they were, it has now arrived. Now, we'll see what they are truly up to.
