2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

There is nothing in the media nobody else cares they think Dyche is doing a job. Its insane. We are on a fast track to going down
I was at the match yesterday and I think the supporters have had all the energy sucked out of them by Dyche and his anti-football.
There was some protest and booing at the end but not the level that would attract media attention.

The supporters will have to provide the catalyst for more media scrutiny of Dyche and I’m not sure we can get ourselves motivated once more…there’s only so many times we can go to the well to effect change.

The question on our mind is...why don't we just play a classic Dyche direct 442? Lump it forward, hustle and generally be horrible. Whilst they haven't been on top form this season we have an excellent centre back pairing. Trust them and one of the best goalkepers in the league. Ndiaye and McNeil (when fit) out wide. Newsflash they both work hard off the ball. Say Gueye and Mangala in centre mid to sit. Lets go Patterson right back and Young left back. Two up top - one NOT being Doucoure. I appreciate football has moved on and everyone plays 3 in the middle but Leicester did win the league playing 442.

Would we have accrued more than 17 points to date this season playing the above as opposed to some weird suppressive 451 without any intent to actually play football?

I think this is what annoys most fans about Dyche. He doesn't even apply the tactics that he's good at.

Maybe they should cave in to the fact that we are complete garbage... and maybe do something about it?
They should get their hands in their pockets and start buying players. WTF are they here for if they dont take the responsibility on for this club's survival and help a manager who's been starved of funds.

The concern I have with Dyche is twofold really….

1. Threat of relegation which despite that some people say is a real and present threat
2. The overall condition of the team after he leaves in terms of confidence even if we stay up

He’s toxic for us.
This is a fear he drills a negative style and mentality into players

Its gone beyond who we buy

The fact, and this has been for all managers from Moyes onwards, that the club plays 4-5-1 for the vast majority of games really deserves some kind of expert scrutiny.

Coaches, managers, players have all come and gone and yet that is how we play; we've even occasionally played differently and got better results, yet we go back to it. It ruins players and may in fact be the number one thing wrong with the club.

Well, this is it.

My take on this is Dyche has no future so they won't spend money until he is gone - which I feel will be this week. Had they wanted to keep him in situ, they would have explicitly said as much when they arrived. But they said nothing. That told me he was here until the summer at best. But he hasn't won a game since they came in - and two of those were games where they would have hoped for at least one win. We didn't get a point.

So, if sacking him was, in realpolitik terms, impossible and reckless on arrival, it no longer is.

The question then is: have they done their homework and lined somebody up who can fill any void when it arises - as in now. If they have, then I expect movement this week. If they haven't, then they're going to have to suck up spending money on players Dyche will play. That mistake - because it is a mistake when he is relieved of his duties in the summer and we are left with Tony Woodcock and John McGovern in our squad - will be on them.

Either way, money will have to be spent this January. Only an idiot thinks this squad isn't capable of being relegated.
