2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I think we have regressed from last season. We definitely pressed more aggressively and smarter as a team and played higher up the pitch. We seem to be just playing a low block now and hoping to break with only Ndiaye who’s capable of this. We need Tim, Garner and McNeil back as soon as and we require a much more progressive left back as a bare minimum. I do think Dyches heart isn’t in it he’s burning bridges with the fanbase deflecting any shortcomings rather than facing them head on, and that’s enough reason to make the change now. Regardless of the result look at the difference in our performance against Bournemouth at home compared to yesterday. Dyche should be questioned on how a team on his watch performance can drop so starkly.
If you look at the Xg from last season we've dramatically nose dived. We currently have an Xg of 20, last season we had 60 at end of season. So to get up to that level we need to double our Xg in 2nd half of season. The Xga is roughly the same for this season and last season. Without Pickford and Branthwaite returning we'd be anchored firmly in bottom 3.

Yep you're right. Bad miss that one

But when you only create 1 decent chance a game then you put way too much pressure on those chances. Every team misses chances.
Shocker, that's why I remember it. I agree chance creation is woeful. Currently 50% down on last season. I think we've missed Garner and Onana in that regard. Not the only reason but certainly a factor.
