2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Of course it makes a difference. We've been selling players and moving them out in the last few years. Do you think that might just have an effect?
How do you think Joe Royle would play with these players Dave? I think he'd play DCL and Beto both up front and get it forward to them and then get N'Diaye running beyond them. Then you'd find us putting more pressure on teams at home and winning more matches.

The crazy thing is...if we were to not win a single game for the rest of the season, barelh score any goals, and get relegated...sean Dyche would still have been the best manager for the job as he's had nothing to work with. The pundits would still say he worked miracles with what he had been given and that nobody else could have possible done any better.

They should get their hands in their pockets and start buying players. WTF are they here for if they dont take the responsibility on for this club's survival and help a manager who's been starved of funds.

Dave , a couple of things

Why would you hand funds to a manager like Dyche ? ( unless your planning to extend his contract )

What decent players would actually want to sign and play for Dyche? Didn’t elenga not sign for us because of our “style” ?

Yeah, the universe has a wicked sense of humour but to be fair, even that wants him sacked now i reckon.
I don’t get the arguments supporting him anymore. He did a great job for us last season, but he’s not doing a good one this year and his track record doesn’t show anything that will change that.

He should go, with our thanks for getting us safely through the points deduction nonsense, and we should bring in someone else who can at least get these misfits playing as a team. We don’t need many wins to stay up comfortably, but we need more than Dyche is ever going to get us.

It doesn't matter who we are missing he cannot get a tune out of this team. He doesn't know how to coach or set up an attack

Nope, he cannot offensively. As I said, we have regressed so much from creating chances, we were 11th last season on that, and are 20th on big chances created this season.

Yet I have the feeling McNeil is/was basically involved in any chance we create, the only player that create anything, apart from the individual brilliance Ndiaye has every few games. . There was a stat that he was on top of the league early season, and if you check out Everton players McNeil is by far at the top of the last 2 years.

It's by nowhere a defense for Dyche just to say. The 2nd player that is missed for me is Garner, he's very important for the squad.

I dont see a quick decision on this. They look caught between two stools.

Decisive action is needed here. That should be spending a few quid on good quality players for the current manager. But they need to act quickly on the player front regardless of whether this is for Dyche or not.

By my calculation we'll be heading into 8/9 games soon that look winnable if we can add a bit of attacking prowess to this line up...and pace.

TFG need to act as responsible owners and open the spending taps and not hand out hints about PSR being a stumbling block. Forget that. We'll go down if they dont spend. That'll mean their investment is in the 💩er, so their choice really.
It’s no good buying quality players if the manager won’t play them, or plays them out of position to maintain his safety-first approach.

McGovern,Gemmill,Robertson and O’Neill was a very tidy midfield quartet…great team.
Francis, Woodcock, Birtles, Shilton, Gray, Bowyer... Marvelous team - the only one in that era who could truly stand toe-to-toe with Liverpool.

I think the Ipswich Town side of the same era was actually even better, football wise, but lacked a little bit of the steel this Forest side had. And that is an essential ingredient in winning leagues and European Cups.

It's not handing it to Dyche is it? We have a DoF who apparently has a method to carry out regarding purchases that goes over and above any manager.

It's a bigger risk now keeping Dyche than getting rid of him.

And Dyche does not pick them unless his hand is forced by injuries and suspensions… and as soon as his “ preferred “ players are back they get 90 mins and stink the place out every week
