2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Lampard was on 15 points after 19 games (3 wins) (the 20th being West Ham away)
Dyche currently on 17 points from 19 games (3 wins)
That's basically 2 Jordan Pickford penalty saves difference
Yep, I could be one sided and say Lampard took us over 16th, finished 16th, got sacked 19th. Dyche 19th to 12th, and 17th again.

But we are as bad as at that point, our squad is even a bit better.

Table doesn’t lie…

Dave, if you can't score goals you can't win games, the reason people think Dyche teams are good defensively is because there are at least 9 players behind the ball most of the game. Hardly conducive to scoring goals is it?

Beto, chamiti didn’t get a look in even though DCL is dog turd

Docs gets picked if he’d fit every week

Keane was getting picked even opportunity that Dyche could find

It does when you’ve also

Lost to Southampton
Lost at home to Bournemouth from 2-0 up
Lost at Villa from 2-0 up
Drew with 10 man Brentford
Drew with Leicester
Drew with Fulham
Got bummed by Brighton
Got bummed by United
Got bummed by Spurs
Drew with West Ham
Sit 1 point outside the relegation zone

So yes, it amounts to a crisis.

You have to look at it over the 19 games we’ve played this season up to now though Dave. We have 17 pts out of a possible 57 pts available, a massive 40 pts dropped. In those 19 games we have scored 15 goals, the second lowest in the prem. We have won 3 games all season and we are 1 point above the relegation places. That is a crisis.

My advice is to be careful what you wish for.

There's no way you can guarantee we get a manager in who can cope as well as Dyche has here for 2 years operating under the strain he's endured.

I would put it at 90% Dyche gets th required points to keep us up.

We are tough to beat and dont go on long losing streaks.

If these owners are wobbling on Dyche they better have around £50M/£60M to spend on players this window...and they better have a Plan B if that change goes disastrously wrong...which it stands a good chance of doing.

Dyche = safety
A.N.Other manager = risk

For this Everton in this era? It'd get us 39 points per season plus whatever draws we got on top.

Let me ask you: what should this Everton team points wise be getting?
Dave,

You might be being economical with the truth here. The Premier League moved from 42 games to 38 in the 95/96 season.

0.31 x 38 games = 11.78 wins = 35.34 points

0.31 x 42 games = 13.02 wins = 39.06 points

Of course if we actually use the correct success rate in Premier League games we would have:

0.28 x 38 games = 10.64 wins = 31.92 points

To be fair, if we got 10 wins we would stay up but that means that we would need 7 more in the second half of the season. That's hard to see.
