2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

My point there being, there wasn't pressure before the Forest or Bournemouth game.

Think you've just misunderstood my point. Since then, the media have really ramped up the pressure on him. Before he was just getting away with it a lot it seemed.
If he's still here for the Villa and Spurs games and doesn't win at least one the pressure on him will be immense. The media know there is blood in the water now. I'd spare him, and us, all of that and jib him now.

Just watched the press conference. D'you know what - I'm delighted we've had this feller as manager.

He's not a phony. He doesn't try to be Mr Everton or BS fans.

He's just got on with a thankless task and delivered as best he could - and I agree with him when he said he condsiders himself to have done a bloody decent job all told.
I don’t know who’s in charge of Quality Control at @davek HQ but please pass on to them that there’s been a really “low effort” feel about your trolling these last few months. I don’t know if the “A” game is saved for the CA forum or what, but the Everton-related WUMing has fallen off a cliff in terms of enjoyability.

I think the pressure is already here now in abundance.

Unless the stories coming out re. Potter are from his agent to make West Ham ramp up their offer, then it seems Friedkins are considering the change.

Next couple of days are going to be huge.

It was probably one of the better pressers I've seen him do. That may be because he knows his fate is in others hands and it was a farewell as other have suggested.

The thing that I always find difficult with him is constantly bringing up adversity like we are the only club with issues. He was challenged on the graph from sky on open play goals and he has no answers just we need to keep working. Sean plenty others are in the same boat and seem to be managing better than you. Promoted teams who nobody gives a chance of staying up are able to develop attacking patterns of play and implement them when they have the ball. We have nothing.

He's clearly given it his all and deserves respect for that irrespective of the outcome but it's time for change.
Yeah, and they all go down as a result of trying to do with rubbish players what good PL teams do.

Dyche's secret to keeping us up is to reject all thoughts that this substandard group of players can be relied on to attack with a lot of the time. They cant.

That's the reason we're still a PL club. THAT conservatism.

If Dyche leaves this month we better hope that he's not replaced by some gung-ho divvy.

He doesn't have the answers. No Sean Dyche team has ever scored goals. For all the "it was like this before I got here" chatter, he has never coached a team that score goals. Yes, the squad lacks creativity and a clinical finisher, that's a problem but the idea that Sean Dyche has an answer for a lack of goals in a team is absurd.

Nailed it

One thing I will say is I am looking forward to the next manager being blamed for the rank incompetence of Doucoure, DCL, Mykolenko, McNeil, and the other imposters who pretend to be footballers at this club.

Dyche did an honest job - a very good one for 18 months - but the jig is up for him now. Nevertheless, the idea that these players are remotely serviceable is about to be put through its own acid test quite soon...

Another reason to keep hold of Dyche IMO.

Dyche can get the required effort out of them. He's proven it.

Another manager is a massive gamble.

IMO if we replace Dyche now we increase our potential for relegation markedly.

It will be an act of criminal governance that'll dwarf TFGs sacking of De Rossi.

@davek 'blame the players' and laying down a marker in advance for any new, more progressive manager ;)
Didnt you champion Martinez and Silva - both gung ho divvies?
I'm enjoying the penmanship tbh

One target for me if Dyche is sacked and it goes pear shaped: TFG.

Simple as that. And rightly so too.

They should know if they get any dismissal and then hiring wrong and it takes us down they are finished at this club. Stone dead finished in one fell swoop.

I think he's got all he's ever going to get out of these donkeys.

Dyche is doing nothing different these days to when his shtick was effective - it's just that the players have heard it all before, know he's a lame duck, and know many of them won't be around come August.

The whole thing has now gone beyond a mere manager. We need massive change and we need it as soon as possible. There will be risk in that, but there is arguably a bigger risk in crossing our fingers and hoping for the best when the players see the power drain from the manager and the days drain from their contracts. New manager, new chance to impress somebody likely to be here come the summer...

Give him players to compete.

Simple really.
