2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

your “head”

glad you accepted it neil

you fought your best for dyche x

It’s always inevitable mate, it’s just a matter of when with any manager. You accept that once they are appointed.

What not proven yet is if this is the right decision, a lot of people have talked for a long time that the issue is the manager and not the players - I think that theory is about to be tested - I really hope they are right.

As for Dyche, I think ultimately people will be grateful for what he did at our lowest.

From a corporate governance point of view, we have to part ways now - or it reflects very bad on TFG. His position became untenable once speaking to Potter became public knowledge.

If we’re rejected by Potter, I fear for the profile of manager we might attract.

TFG may have painted themselves into a bit or corner here.

Also not terribly enthused this has happened as JP Morgan are trying negotiate finance with funds either.

I think Potter agent used Everton to get a better deal, since when did Sky become Everton ITK?

If that was true he be our man manager by now

What if we decided to sack Dyche, made a proposal to Potter and that prompted WHU.

or

WHU moved on our no 1 target and we went after him.

Both those scenarios are more plausible than not to be honest - the alternative is just coincidently we went for the same manager in the same week.

Apparently it’s been known in footballing circles for a while that TFG wanted Potter if they were going to make a change. Feelers went out in late Sep.

I'm thinking the same thing. To an extent, it makes sense to keep him in post until after the Peterborough game due to the relative time constraints and the need to find a replacement. I hope we have someone in for the beginning of next week at the latest.
But whilst it is only 2 days to Peterborough, after we play them, it’s only 3 days to Spurs so I don’t think we’ve decided to take no action just because we are playing a team who we should best even with a caretaker in charge.

That's why I stopped organising meals with work. At first everyone's keen, on the night about four people turn up. And get off after the meal.
