2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I think its dangerous to just listen to 1 POV on any issue.

Bobble has his niche and the likes of Boyland have theres.

I find his pieces interesting, you dont, thats cool.

I get what Dave is saying. Paddy prints what the club allows him to print. It is what it is, it's the condition of his access to the club. It's reliable though, which is why I listen to / read his stuff.

Afternoon Ste.

This season’s squad is better than the one Lampard had that season. Sorry.

Dyche achieved enough pts for 12th THE FOLLOWING SEASON.

You: Sorry doesn't count

Dyche is underperforming based on my expectations of him this season but you don't need to just forget what all of our expectations were when Lampard left. Again, this season hasn't been good enough.

So why are you bringing up quotes from 2 and a half years ago as if they’re of any relevance to this season then? The landscape is completely different. You think Dyche did an amazing job to finish 12th last season, fine, then he’s either equally responsible for taking us backwards this season, or last season was a fluke over performance. Pick one.

My loyalty is to Everton Football Club, I will champion whatever I think is in the best interests of this club.

Currently, its in every fans best interests if this joker hits the road.

IMO.

I can only post my thoughts here Dave, a LOT of people agree with me, not many with you, but thats just the way you like it.

The Contrarian Candidate strikes again..

The big excuse Lampard had for the 2nd season was DCL not being fit. Dyche has got 3 experienced Strikers at his disposal and has a much upgraded CB option in Branthwaite. Dyche undoubtedly has a better team.

The only thing I can say that Lampard had better was having Gordon at the time. But then he was a lot less polished.

Gordon had downed tools that season so was as good as useless. You’re correct that Coady > Branthwaite and Maupay > anyone is a massive upgrade. I think Ndiaye is a much better player than Iwobi too, and that would be reflected in the stats if he wasn’t playing as a defensive full back.

Gordon's performances declined massively in his last few months at the club. He was playing nowhere near his best.

Not necessarily.

Maybe they have someone lined up in the summer, who won't come now/is already in a job?
I'm quite certain that TFG have external consultants working for them, advising on football matters.

It was reported last year that Fabio Paratici was one such consultant advising them with respect to Roma.

If true, it's not outside the realm of possibility that he is also supporting them with us in some way. Makes absolute sense for them, as a business, to have external independant advice in addition to what they see with their own eyes and are currently being advised by Thelwell.

I see them possibly leaving Thelwell in place but putting someone like him as Sporting Director of the 3 clubs they own.
