2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Every new match that comes and goes is yet another where I’m surprised he’s still here despite the results. Hasn’t West Ham’s manager only been around since May? Yet they act when form begins to slip. We keep Sean because he’s best to keep us above relegation. Ok, for how long? Three seasons? Four? When do we say that’s not our plan and we deserve better?

It’s like we’re being gaslit that we’re somehow so very different than the rest of the teams. We’re not. We’ve been made to believe it.

I bet if you read every match day thread there’s a large group who says surely he’ll be sacked now. Nope. Not even after giving up three goals to be overtaken after 80’. So here we are assuring ourselves surely he’ll be sacked after P’boro. Surely after Villa. Surely after Spurs. We deserve so much better 💙

We aren't now? The whole 777 thing was for them to pay the running costs every month, we have been pretty much running at cost for the past 18 months, or at least since we knew we were in trouble.

Plus the new sponsors coming in, the naming rights for the stadium, the balancing of the books through the takeover, we are financially stable now.
Just because 777 covered expenses doesn't prevent it being a loss.

His contract ends at the end of the season so I'd say that's for how long they intended.

Have you just woken from a coma and forgotten the last five years of being drilled into the ground by a horrendous board?

We very nearly went bust, we are very different from most other teams. Thank god the takeover has happened.

People discussing on national television, who is the bigger club, Everton or West Ham. Think about that . Should never be a discussion point in the first place.

Question of currently, historically and hopefully future.

The answer for the first is West Ham, the 2nd Everton and the third isn't to answer, but with the right decisions taken, Everton again.

The point is it should never have been got to a point where that should be seriously discussed.

The way people brush off fans concerns sometimes is annoying , not saying you of course, you could see this kind of thing coming the way we’ve acted over the years, more and more irrelevant.

Some don’t realise it has long term effect on the depth of fan base and the clubs appeal for future generations of recruiting future fans.

For all we know, the Freakin’s could already have a new gaffer signed up, but we’re waiting to sack SD and officially install the new guy when he’s available. Maybe he’s currently on a luxury cruise around the Horn of Africa and won’t be back until next week.

That would make a change, rather than the usual scenario of Everton sacking a manager without a replacement sorted, resulting in a frustrating, unprofessional vacuum that’s ripe for a power grab by any common or garden Somali warlord.

It never should have been.

Moshiri was the final nail, there was this mentality of Kenwright/Moyes, but the club was in a very good starting situation to become a permanent top 6 club again as it should be, and the money was used very badly and is the biggest reason why Everton isn't at a spot of Newcastle, but fighting for league status.

The way Sky paint it West Ham seem much more of a conversation and they aren't really in much trouble, we have become a total irrelvance. Thank you Moshiri. Kenwright and the rest!

And this new lot haven't started the best hope they are working on a replacement before they bin Scotch egg but the fact they thought we could muddle through to the summer sets alarm bells ringing

True, mate. No doubt. It’s not just Dyche. It’s total mismanagement top down. Totally grateful for TFG. Not too many teams were directly affected by Ukraine/Russia AND a new stadium on the line.
