Seamus Coleman - Everton manager.

Did not see that one coming.

We now have a starting right back who is older than our manager, who is also our right back. I’m overflowing with confusion and delight.
Imagine if he sticks himself up top, something a Sunday league pub manager would do, I would love it

He could have took a dump in the changing rooms, called Everton's new owners and management team everything under the sun and walked out wearing a Liverpool top.

Doesn't matter,
image and Everton first. A statement of his sacking should include thanks or a well wish. It's a classless statement, not befitting of Everton. Those responsible - a lot who were around for that statement against the fans prior to Southampton - should give their head a wobble. Anyway, won't keep banging on about it, most - even those who really disliked him, if honest will raise an eyebrow at that statement.
Steady on my son.
God bless.

Finally.

Nice to know that the new guys have finally done what needed to be done. Will always be thankful for the previous 1 and a half seasons but nothing could justify how poor he has been this season. Keeping him any longer was just accepting more of the same. Had to go.

I mean I think he was sacked much earlier, probably yesterday, and the team as well as Baines will have known. It’s not like they have just rang Baines up now and said “oh btw you’re managing tonight lol”

Just because we’ve only just found out about it doesn’t mean it has only just happened.
But that's exactly what i'm talking about. How things look is what matters, not how they actually happen. The issue is that it looks chaotic and dysfunctional, it doesn't instill confidence, and that's what they should care about as new owners. They knew there was a game tonight so the comms should have reflected that, waiting 24 hours to make an announcement, to the point where people could literally arrive at the ground to watch a game without realising we've sacked our manager, is utterly stupid. I don't need you to agree, i'm just telling you what I think both as a fan and from a professional standpoint.

He took training this morning didn’t he?

Not bothered about the statement being "classless" personally. Never liked the way Dyche deflected the blame time and time again onto fans and other things. Save the emotional farewell messages for managers that actually fit the Everton mentality.

It's not classless, it just states the facts. We've known for months this is how they operate, they're not going to say too much.

I for one would be made up if moyes signs. We need to create the foundations for the next long term manager before we go down that route. Moyes would keep us up and leave us in a much better position than we are in now in a few years time

he would keep us up i know that

but that’s it shouldn’t we want more?
plucky old everton?

NA let’s move on
