2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

With dyche, the football has been rubbish but at least he knows the rubbish we have

But who can we expect to get in to get a tune out of this lot. David blaine?

Still strange timing for me, few hours before a game. What the players thinking?. Surely tomorrow would be better. If we lose we sack, if we won it was time to move on etc

There's nothing classless about it in truth. The manager has performed well below requirement this season and the turgid football that's been delivered has not gone down at all well with the vast majority of Evertonians. The average tenure of a Premier League Manager is less than 2 years I think, yet he'll be getting a belting pay-off. He was happy to take the job when the last encumbent got flirted.
It's the way it is - limited tenure, big pay-off, walk into another job (likely he'll rock up at Luton within days), rinse and repeat.
The only additional part this time is that the sacking has been delivered in typical corporate American style....blunt, concise and without any emotion. Being an Englishman who's experienced corporate American recruitment and 're-structuring' I find it quite refreshing and business-like....much better than the soft-lipped patter the likes of Kenwright gave departing managers.
There we go.

The timing makes perfect sense right now. It was already a few games too far.
Bainsey and Seamus can take care of the FA cup game.
As to the new fella, whoever the poor bugger is, we will all need to get behind him, as he's going to need all the help (and valium) he can get.
