2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I know that everywhere it's saying dyche has been sacked but our club statement says "relieved of his duties" is this perhaps words to cover he's still in our employ but on gardening leave so we don't have pay him up his contract up front?

The funniest part is all his little attack dogs on here saying he just needed investment and what do you expect him to do when we don’t spend any money, then when offered the opportunity to be backed with transfers he went “nah you know what I’m not good enough anyway”. Hilarious. Too much of a coward to have any expectations whatsoever placed on him, just wants to live in 17th place while telling the whole world how hard he has it.
This is exactly it. Don’t get me wrong, he had a tough set of circumstances over the last couple of years but he thrives on those excuses. He’s effectively not had a real boss for about 18 months. The minute some form of actual expectation and scrutiny is placed on him, he’s off. All he had to do this year was match his points total for last year or maybe, just maybe, get a couple points more (let’s go crazy!). He just wasn’t capable of it. I do wonder who he thinks will hire him now after he’s effectively told every press conference this season that he’s not capable of changing things at a club that were happening two years ago and that he finds winning football games “not easy”.

Not looking to the future personally, just the next 19 games in this division. If we stay in it, which we will, THEN its time for a very big broom., and dare I say, some actual optimism.

All so famaliar but its that now and only that. We're back to 19 cup finals. I suppose thats the only blessing. 57 points to play for. Hindsights a great thing but i said a lot last season that dyche should have been thanked and moved on after the points deduction season. But not gona lie ive been surprised just how bad he's been this season. Right from a few games in there was a different vibe. We were at least knocking on the door in games last season. We havent looked anywhere near that this one. He looked finished as a manager months ago. He's always been arrogant and up his own arse but it was fiesty arrogance. There was a realisation he was being found out.
Im split on the Moyes Choice now. I was against it. Having slept on it and going on the 19 cup finals thing maybe its not the craziest choice.
But im with you. Its survival and nothing else now.

Cracking point that. Also the lack of the standard wording of thanks to dyche and his team and wish him all the best for the future nonsense.

Moyes only had a decent defensive record after he; been here fir years.

Moyes des everything at a snaiils pace and will expect to oversee transfers.

We needed a manager with experience, yes, but with a few players in tow and who can act quickly in the transfer market.

It's a no on every level with Moyes for me.
Moyes isn't daft. he will keep the solid back 4 that we have. The question is whether he can make us any more creative. I think the change of manager will help the players, as the previous regime had run out of gas.

What sort of nonsense am I reading here? In the 2002/03 season we won something like 5 consecutive games 1-0.

Dyche basically resigned without resigning, leaving TFG no option but to "relieve him of his duties". They're now basically having to talk to Moyes, as they need someone in a hurry who knows the club to try and keep us in the division.

I hated Dyche as our manager and am delighted he's gone but you have zero clue about what he said to the owners. Stop making things up.

Good point.

I also think it's misleading that it says sacked in the thread title. He's basically taken the coward's way out, saying he couldn't manage the team anymore but not resigning.

Seems that way. Tbh im not that arsed as long as he's gone. By all accounts he refused to resign but then said he couldnt do the job anymore. Thats grounds to just remove him from his post with immediate effect.
