To give the benefit of the doubt it's hard to know from the outside what parameters he's working in.

I don't particularly rate the majority of his signings but it's difficult to say with certainty that someone else would undoubtedly be doing better. The overarching transfer policy coming from the top of the club has been sell off the family silver and get what you can for free or Buy Now, Pay Later.
We knew for a good while now that TFG were going to be the owners changing the financial landscape of the club with supposedly money to spend in January. It's not too much to ask to plan for that in advance of any finalised takeover and having started the conversations with agents, or even clubs...now perhaps TFG is not willing to spend which is also a possibility but very unlikely considering the comments from moyes and others around the club

'Saved us'

Any competent manager would have done the same. When he was asked to progress us he was embarrassment. £100k a week for absolute dross.
Dyche took us over this same game week in 22/23 and we had played a game more. We were on 15 pts and stayed up. I do hope for our sake Moyes can do the same with 17 pts.

I wouldn't expect a huge change to the financial landscape. Even Newcastle are now hampered with all that oil money behind them that their owners would spend in the blink of an eye.

Getting through the latest round of checks is a boost so maybe something happens now but it's always seemingly tricky. Nobody wants to let players go till they have replacements lined up or can't spend till they sell so a couple of moves might have to happen before ours do. The same for a lot of clubs in the January window.

They are plenty of ways around psr and financial restrictions, especially with the naming deal of the new stadium which i am sure could be showing in this year's account, or at least part of it. It is the same old Everton, with or without money.

There's a good few Premier League clubs will pay you a small fortune to advise them of it then as they seem to be struggling with it.

Go fill your boots.

Not many premier league clubs are opening a brand new shiny stadium...plenty of opportunities to find ways to stay within psr limits.

Got us safe twice and would have done so again if left alone to get on with it.

Biggest call these owners have ever made and they've screwed it up.

Bottled it and went for instability and an old man who's lost whatever he had in the first place.

I wonder who'll they'll sell this club to if they relegate us...because they wont be staying here.

They won’t be selling the club if we go down because they’ll be lucky to get a fraction of what they’ve spent on it so far if they attempted to sell it. I supported Dyche as long as he was here but it became clear at the end that he’d done all he could and he’s said himself that he couldn’t do any more, I wasn’t keen on Moyes coming back but he’s here to stay now with the contract they’ve given him and I’m hoping he can improve things, the main thing for me is that he’s come in and seen we need players immediately, I’d be worried if he was saying we don’t need any players and we’ll go with what we have for the rest of the season.
