I think it's fine to give respect for the job he did for 18 months whilst also being critical of his last 6 months. For all the absolute shambles this season was under him, the fella did a very sold job until then. I could nitpick at runs of results or whatever, but the end result is that he kept us up twice in incredibly difficult circumstances. His ineptitude this season doesn't change that, so I'll always have some respect for the job he did.

Agree did what we wanted him to do for two seasons and well got what i wanted with him gone.

I definitely give Dyche credit for creating a defence-minded club to get us through unbearable PSR. I think he was so used to that dog fight that when there was potential PSR relief this year and it was time to open up on attack, his pace of adjusting to that approach was costing us.

Sure, he helped instill a defensive mentality. That's all he's capable of doing. Clearly the squad was good enough to stay up last season even with the deductions. Both seasons there were three teams vastly more gash than we were. So it wasn't like he led us on some Hollywood-style comeback. I'd say the fans did as much to keep us safe, if anything.

Think is fair to give him credit becuase he did deal with alot, got some luck aswell. He did what we wanted him to do and this season was just a step to far and he had to go. Not a bad thing to say was the correct move to bring him as he kept us safe, same as was the correct choice for him to go.
