Pal you watched the game? That wasn’t Spurs first team, sage for a sprinkling of recognised faces. They’re ravaged, Everton weren’t playing a competitive team.

Now I know you’re all wanting to crown your Moyesiah but come now let reasoned opinion prevail you big crazies.
Yeah that spurs squad featured a lot of unknown under 21 future prospects like James Maddison, son , Pedro porro , the Scandinavian with k followed by thirteen other letters, Spence , davies and Pedro Porro....

“and a sprinkling of recognised faces”

Thank you for your confirmation friend. As our erstwhile leader @GrandOldTeam noted about they have a team out, it’s strange you missed this.

He’s gone lads, let him go.

I'm glad the majority of Evertonians respect the job Dyche did.

As I often shared, I think Everton history will be very kind to Dyche.

He'll be remembered as the guy who come in here;

.... most had wrote us off. Our lowest ever points total 20 games in. 11 defeats in 14. The fixture list coming up. It's the only time I felt we were down. He kept up. He navigated us through the circus caused by Moshiri and incompetent, self preservation board. A board who sought to damage the club for their own benefit.

If someone would have said he'd come in, keep us up, every window we'd have to make a good transfer profit, and the following season he'd keep us up despite deductions - we'd have all snapped hands off.

Sure, wheels come off this season. It happens in football, pretty much every manager ends up sacked. Or disliked for engineering a move.

But he left with us a couple of weeks into new owners, and us sat 16th with a transfer window. Previous managers like Lampard and Silva left with us in the relegation zone. He left us in a better place than when he started - how many managers can we say that about? This summer is a genuine chance of a massive rebuild, and Dyche has been massive in ensuring that opportunity.

So yeah, I'm glad the majority respect the job he did. Provided he doesn't start making silly comments, which I doubt he will given we'll be the biggest job he ever has, then over time people will remember him keeping our heads above water when the club, and Premier League seemed hell bent on relegating us.
The first season he had 18 games to accumulate enough points to get away from relegation, we could of been relegated until the last kick of the Bournemouth game.

Last season he accumulated enough points to stay up after the points deduction, with this squad that’s more than achievable so let’s not think he was the only man who could have done it.

This season he was finally volleyed out of here for being shown up for what he is! A relegation manager not because of the squad but because of his style, like I’ve said a thousand times the squad isn’t the problem the manager was, he was making them look atrocious and some fans couldn’t see past that.

Whoever Dyche is manager of they will be in a relegation battle

Forest
Brighton
Bournemouth
Palace
West ham
Fulham

They would all be where we are now if he was the manager. I actually can’t believe people can’t see that.

Just one week of coaching and we’ve seen DCL score and have numerous good chances
Lindstrom look like a proper player
Players being able to press properly
The team avoiding to go back to Pickford for a long hoofball
More bodies around DCL and in the box when we attack.

Dyche is a fraud and even an average manager like Moyes will show him up for what he is.

I think you're being forgetful, or disingenuous.

Go check your posts the week before he was hired. I suspect you will ref the scale of the job on his hands and/or write us off as down/dead.

It's easy after the event to pretend otherwise afterwards - but he did a brilliant job until this season. All considered, particularly his contract - he had to go.

But he did his job, kept us up/head afloat until new ownership when he was never going to be kept on.

World football surely.
Next to pigmans thread.

No.

Because this thread is about Dyche as Everton manager, and the discussion is still about his time as Everton manager.

Most threads in this forum are about players/managers who have since left - it's why we have archive/thread seaspmn prefix. If we moved every thread to World Football when they left, we'd barely have any threads here.

People can, and do create other threads in World Football - but Everton threads stay in the Everton forum. As they always have.

If you don't want to see the thread, click ignore at the top. Or just don't click into it.
