Ha, to be fair - you'd be hard pushed to find anyone who wanted Moyes back then. This was the response then;

Evidently we're fickle, and browbeaten from years of misery.

Moyes wasn't TFG's preferred choice, they wanted Dyche get us to the summer to hire someone who was in a job and wouldn't come until then. Would they have done a better job than Moyes from this summer? I guess we'll never know.
Yes he deserves a walk over if he made the comment over five years ago, but still he must have really disliked Moyes at that time if he wanted Ferguson to take over!

The problem with suggesting this isn't any sort of new manager bounce at all is it means expectations have to go up exponentially for next season. If this squad genuinely is one which we should expect to go on runs like this as standard then we need to be expecting top 6 next year really, that's just the reality of where you end up if this is your default level and that's before we even bring in new players. If we're saying that Top 6 shouldn't be our minimum aim for next season then by definition we're accepting that this is - to some extent at least - a bounce.

Personally I'm absolutely made up with how well Moyes has done, I wasn't convinced he was the right appointment but he's done way better than I expected so far. Ultimately I still think we're a bottom half team enjoying a good run, but i'll be overjoyed if it turns out I was wrong and this is a sustainable upturn in form.
You’ve just had a conversation with yourself there.

Why can’t people just admit that the squad wasn’t anywhere near as bad as they were led to believe by a man who the record books will show is one of the worst football managers in Everton’s near 150 year history? It’s not just results is it? The entire performances have been transformed with the same players, players shunned and apparently “not ready” come in and contribute immediately, goals are being scored and chances being made, something Dyche said he couldn’t teach or “smell” ffs.

Dyche couldn’t even set the team up to have shots on goal in 90 minutes and that was him at his best, we know this because he told the new owners that was him operating at full capacity. He’s hoodwinked people in to believing his way of “playing” football was the only way the squad could. He was lauded as someone who would change his approach if he had better players and that particular nonsense has been exposed in Moyes first games.

We had hopes and dreams in 2019.

We then appointed the 3 worst managers in our entire history.

How was that a conversation with myself? Or any more of a conversation with myself than any post on a forum (including the pointless waffle you've just come out with that bears no relation to all to what you're supposedly replying to?) Grarsssss though. LOL.

We should have them from this summer.
