I’d still say it’s a possibility, yep he massively changes how we play, but nobody else is a threat.

honestly we need 3 positions covered at all costs without any outgoings - LB RB CF - they all need to be starters.

Then obv tom davies needs replacing (as in we need squad depth... not the actual talent levels).

We have 1 decent striker who’s made out of glass and 2 championship level strikers in Maupay and Simms. A midfield which contributes nothing much in terms of goals apart from McNeill.

So possibly not bottom 3, but definitely bottom 6.

Second person to reply to me here, I never said we had a great squad, it's just not bottom 3.

It is mate, we can’t score. We have no players who score, last year we were one of the lowest scoring teams and we made that situational worse by selling the only player who scores.

If we stay up, and we enter next season with the same attacking outlets, we’ll struggle again.

Nar I get that, but look at wolves for example they are similar to us in that their strikers are abysmal as well.

I think we are a truly awful side like, but I think 6/7 teams around us are as well, I just think we could have been safe by a few points by now if he dropped his mate Keane earlier for yerry, been a bit braver in some games.

Deffo struggle again next season though unless we can revamp the squad ( which we won't )

Their fitness issues is part of the reason why it’s a poor squad though. If you could guarantee Mina and DCL’s availability for 38 games then that’s different but we all know we’re lucky to see them for any sort of fun of games in a season. Then when they’re not there it’s more often than not Keane or Maupay/Simms/Gray playing the majority of games.

It’s a team that gets worse as it goes forward, keeper is good, defence (if Keane doesn’t play) is average, midfield is poor, and the striker force without DCL is non existent.

It’s easily in the bottom three squads for me. Leicester have a better squad than us, I’d swap ours for Forest’s as well. I think Leeds is about the same although in Rodrigo Bamford Harrison Gnonto they probably have better attacking options than we do (although a much poorer defence).

As soon as you start getting outside of that bottom 5 you’re into West Ham and Wolves and their squads are miles better.

So yeah I’d say with Mina and Calvert Lewin fit we’re third worse in the league on paper, without them fit we’re tied with Leeds on second worse. The only club I definitely wouldn’t swap our squad for is Southampton’s.

If he keeps us up I wouldn’t be classing it as amazing he’ll have scraped to what he was put in to do. We should be safe now after the games he’s thrown away especially against Fulham and Leicester. His obsession with Keane is ridiculous just proves (like he did at Burnley) he is set on sticking with his favourites. I wouldn’t be giving him any money to spend in the summer we need that for younger players such as onana who have sell on value and Dyche doesn’t like younger players. If we start next season with him championship or premier league I can’t see him lasting more than 10 games may as well get rid now then let MSP have a say in who the next manager is and start fresh over summer.

We scored 5 goals like 3 games ago. It has improved. Can keep improving.
