I'd argue because that's all that was available to him.

It's not a glamorous appointment I agree but, we have to remain open-minded.

It could be similar to an Allardyce appointment which gets us doing the basics and keeps us in the league.

Only time will tell.

I agree that a manager can come in and improve, but I don't agree that anyone will find it easy to keep this team in the league. We have an extremely poor squad and in my opinion, the worst forward line in the league, and our worst in my lifetime following the team.

We are not that bad, Lampard made them look awful.

I hated us playing Burnley under Dyche, for what it's worth. You knew his teams would always fight & snide their way through a game and whilst our record against them was generally alright very rarely did I come away from any game against them thinking 'that was pretty straightforward that'.

Amazing. Should stay up then ?

Made a profit on him tbf and he had a better scoring record for Burnley than Dominic Calvert-Lewin does for us. Not sure you can call it a poor signing.

More to do with style and the lack of goals his team score. The big man small combo with no creativity and flair; be a lot of hoofs from pickford in the hope DCL can win some headers

Context important. At Burnley for 9.5 years who's only objective was to stay in the PL. I thought this is the type of manager we should have had coming into this season as it's the reality of where we are at. We need to get to the stadium in the PL. This gives us the best opportunity out of the options available. It's [ragmatic which Everton are usually not.

Which is the exact issue I have with the appointment. There's no style, it'll be a more organised version of why we are joint bottom
