I think if we’re being totally honest, Dyche is a better fit to work with this current group of players we have than Bielsa. Bielsa himself acknowledges that he can’t work with them. Why they are the two options though, only our wonderful owner knows.

If we’d sacked Lampard when he should’ve been sacked, then maybe we could’ve got Bielsa as well as the 5 or 6 new signings he needed, but we’ll never know.
I totally agree

But both were wrong candidates. This just highlights the massive issues we have at this club, 2 polar opposites, both wrong candidates, picked my a man who has no idea about footy and one who thinks its 1980

To be fair to Dyche, he's been type casted as a guy who only knows 4-4-2 with the premise of Hoof and Inshallah.

I think he'll adapt with the players he has / get's given. Much safer choice to Bielsa for you guys imo.

Agree with everything else but this.... allardyce (despite how he spouts it) did not save us from relegation we were never going down that season he took over a team in mid table not bottom three. His back to basics football made most of our supporters eyes bleed as well, it may not be pretty under dyche but I can't see us going three games with one shot on target.

I think we're currently at about 6 games without a shot on target.

On the plus side, improvement on Lampard
On the minus, his record is trending downwards

Another concern is that Burnley improved a lot after he left last season and look how well they are doing this season.

Hassenhuttl on the other hand, since losing Southampton have got a lot worse. For me he would have been a much better choice
Footballers are horrific people. As such, if teams aren't winning managers only have a shelf life or 2-3 seasons before the players turn on them.
Even perceived success isn't a guarantee that the players won't give up at the first sign of a bad run or a disagreement.

Dyche just ran out of steam at Burnley. New manager bounce didn't do enough to keep them up, which says plenty about the quality/attitude of their squad last year. Moreso how few are featuring under Kompany this year.
