Let’s sit back and enjoy the new manager bounce while it last. I hope the players react well but tactical wise I’m not expecting much other than sit deep with long percentage football.

Obviously not the favorite appointment, but it says something about where Everton are right now. We are fighting for the second season in a row to avoid relegation.

To me, Dyche symbolizes something that we have slowly but surely lost along the way in our quest to fight with the big boys, namely a solid work ethic and resilience. Without this, it is impossible to achieve success. So in a way this symbolizes a restart.

I'll take happy survival in the PL, and a couple of seasons in the middle of the table with a group of players who show a high work ethic and resilience, maybe not the world's sexiest football, but it's been a long time since we've seen anything like that anyway.

This. I’d kill for a couple of nothing seasons bouncing between 9th and 14th. These last 2 seasons have been utterly miserable.

He will in the summer. Sale of Gordon and possibly Pickford will put us right with FFP.
Only a picky point so apologies it's not FFP we are worried about it's the premier league's profit and loss rules. The FFP rules only come into play if you're playing in Europe which I suspect is a few seasons away unfortunately.
