2 years ago you going into Finch Farm and being coached by a manager who has won everything in the game, is well respected and renowned for being one the best man managers in the world.

On Monday they will rock up to someone who stinks of real ale and Saturday nights Vindaloo
Weirdly I don't feel too uncomfortable about this. I feel its what we deserve for allowing the floppy fathers to chase off King Carlo.

In Dyche we trust. Lock on lads, lock on.

Short sightedness got us into this state, which again this appointment smacks of.
I agree with a long-term strategy and building the right football philosophy and playing a progressive style of football but this takes time to implement. Clubs must also look at the short term and for EFC there is a real possibility of relegation. The strategy now must be to ignore the future and do everything possible to avoid relegation. Then, with PL status maintained the club can start looking to the future. Yes, this will cost money and disruption by having to change manager again but it is probably a lot cheaper than dropping to the Championship

Not thrilled but under the current circumstances seems a logical choice. It will be ugly for a while but if he keeps us up credit to him because it is a massive job to get us safe this year

Sam for example got us 8th and he was our short sighted manger. What other managers were shortsighted?
I don’t just mean in terms of managers mate.

You could call sacking Sam after 6 months short sighted though if you wanted, though he probably shouldn’t have been hired and allowed to spend a small fortune for 6 months work in the first place.

Hiring ancelotti (as good as it was) and allowing him to spend a shitload on aging players was short sightedness.

Our record spent on a transfer for a player in his late twenties and in a dying position was short sightedness.

Having 2 candidates with 2 completely conflicting ideologies as our managerial candidates at the most crucial time in our recent history is short sightedness.

(I’m not even going to mention FSW as it will piss me off)

Should I go on?
