Back to basics? This is the best league in the world. Back to basics stopped being anywhere near good enough years ago.

And we really haven't tried every manager under the sun, in fact of the managers we have tried after moyes (except Carlo who is an obvious anomaly) there's literally 1 that has been a success at another club. All the rest other than Silva have failed spectacularly everywhere they've gone.

It hasn't though. Teams either play a system that their players can play...or are forced into a system they can't do successfully at this level

Those teams get relegated

I think they are all going to get it. I genuinely believe that the transformation in Everton will be close to instant, definitely by the time you play us in a month. I am not suggesting you are going to be scoring loads of goals but I would be shocked if every single player doesn't up their performance significantly. Dyche will not take any crap and if the players won't buy into what he is saying then they will join the u23s. The fact that he has a few players he worked with before will really help him too. You guys may not like the football but I expect you will all enjoy the effort over the remaining games and maybe it just might keep u in the PL
Our players are petrified of their own fans. Dyche coming in offers them a chance for a reboot with those fans. SD will take the pressure off them and onto himself.

IMO he's the best we can employ under the circumstances.

The fit feels right.

I don't really think saying that Dyche is responsible for how the club he was at for decade played is narrative spinning myself. In fact I think the people on the opposite side are the ones making things up.
Ok, would you say he achieved success with that style of play considering the resources of Burnley?

True but he then got Burnley relegated- or would have done if they hadn’t sacked him.
Or maybe he wouldn’t, plus he bounced straight back up with them the first time they were relegated on a shoestring budget. Plus we signed Martinez after he got Wigan relegated because he played ‘attractive football’

Kompany is doing very well at Burnley but he's not doing anything out of the ordinary. Dyche managed to win the Championship buying free transfers and 'undisclosed fee' purchases.

Spending money and winning the Championship with nice football is nothing that Daniel Farke hasn't already done. Twice.
Kompany will be judged after they get back into the Premier league.
Will they stick or will they do a Norwich.
