2022/23 Sean Dyche

I wonder if he has realised yet what an utter mess that he has walked into , and what a set of idiotic , bumbling fools
his board of directors really are ?

Has the Dyche appointment been confirmed by the club yet?

He'd keep us up (and relegation would undoubtedly finish this club), but it'd hardly be the most inspiring of appointments.

It’s hard to believe a new manager has signed a contract, been to the training ground, probably gotten straight to work on staff, transfers etc, and even taken photos with fans, yet Everton’s social media channels are completely silent.

Because we have had such a big turnaround of managers over the years, we know what to expect. The announcement, paired simultaneously with the big interview of cliched answers such as ‘Everton are a big club with a rich history’ and ‘Bill, Denise and the board have been very welcoming’. We will also get the cliched gallery of photos of him with the scarf, of course the picture of him standing in the weight room behind the floor badge. We also can’t forget the special ‘Everton Unseen’ episode of Sean shaking peoples hands, getting a tour of the training ground, and of course at the end, walking into a room with an important member of staff and closing the door to show that he’s getting straight to work.

Not only is this media cliched, and boring (maybe not if we didn’t have a new manager every season) it’s just so unnecessary to launch a new story for the club. It would be nice to just simply have that announcement we want. I don’t know why, but I just can’t relax until I see news on official channels, even though we all know Dyche is the manager, any curiosity, interest or intrigue into it has been wiped away. He might as well just turn up on the touch line Saturday the way we handle things.
Just showing this again... It's now 7pm Sunday and nothing... our communication is DREADFUL

I made an edit.

I still cant believe people actually watched that video, the man is a liar.

He's a liar but he hasn;t been shy of spending out in the past. If he's giving us an indication there'll be one striker in I'd take that as a serious prospect...unless another club just completely loses their grip and agrees to shift a decent player out on loan for not much recompense.

I doubt they have a welcome presser for Sean Dyche.

Pretty sure they've only done introductory pressers four times in the last eight years.

- Lukaku signing in 2014
- Rooney in 2017
- Ancelotti in 2019
- James in 2020

Dyche's first presser will be Friday.

Why do this.

People will get more stressed now.

In fairness, he didn't.

He said, 'we need a striker, we will get one'.

Keep in mind like that video was filmed before the West Ham game, and Danjuma was 'through the door' at that stage.
Fair enough. But I still think the board and owner believe new manager + one forward = Everton in good shape to face the rest of the season.

The video was filmed on the Thursday, Danjuma was “done” according to the club. That’s your one striker, the one who hot footed it to Spurs 4 days later
