2022/23 Sean Dyche

Was about to post the same. I don't think it's impossible to stay up. He's kept worse Burnley sides up in the past.

I just think if he can get the players we have playing even decently we have a chance. At the moment they’re all playing terribly except for Onana Pickford and Tarkowski.

I think we need to abandon the Iwobi in midfield experiment and start playing more attacking percentages. Maybe even get Maupay upfront behind Calvert Lewin.

Basically let’s bolt the back door and increase our chances upfront with a bit more direct play. Lampard has had this lot trying to play total football with fullbacks who can’t cross a ball, strikers who can’t trap one, and midfielders who can’t pass.

Looks like with Frank they're going to throw Sean under the bus without any signings, I wonder if he signed knowing this, I'd be pretty miffed if it was me

Dyche (or anyone else coming in here after Lampard without getting cast iron assurances on new players upfront) is taking the piss.

"Fast tracking his methods" to stay up, he talked about. What an utter 'kin walloper this feller is.

If - as seems almost 99% certain now - we dont get any players in by 11pm - I have absolutley zero faith in this feller. I'll see him for what he is: a boardroom stooge just in it for a big drink.
He was your hero yesterday.

Are you 13?

Let's see how it goes eh? I'm sure he'll be as pissed off as us all at the situation. Let's see what we are left with tonight and then how he gets on with the first few games.
Nah, not having that.

If he agreed to the manager's job and had no assuranc es of players conming in then he's here for the cash.

I have zero trust in this manager.

Come 11pm and that window shutting with no incoming players we'll have no board and no manager as far as I'm concerned.

He's hand in glove with this. His comment yesaterday in his interview that he ahs to see what he has yet said it all. He was never expecting players in. And that relegates us.

I don’t think route 1 football can deliver in the PL in 2023.
But I suspect we’re about to find out.

Okay, so just checking here to see if I follow; you expect every manager to reject joining Everton unless they have assurances of players coming in, but the board is unwilling to give those assurances, sooooo....the team should just go on without any manager at all?

It’s not route 1 I’m advocating. Literally a centreback launching a long ball for a striker to flick on has barely worked against anyone ever

There’s no reason though we can’t get the ball out wide, get crosses in, play the balls into channels quicker, turn the opposition defence more often, get more attackers into the box.

How many times have teams beaten us doing these exact things against us. We’ve been trying to play too perfectly under Lampard and quite frankly unless you’re City or Arsenal this season it just ain’t working.

Can you force a player to join the club? You can have guarantees of funds available but if they don't want to come as we are a basket case of bile at the moment how is that Dyche's fault?

I think we will get more bang for our buck out of Dyche as opposed to Lampard with this squad, but that doesn’t ease any of my long term concerns. Still- survival is the most important factor here
