Can't wait to see how many who slogged off Dyche in the first 20 pages of this thread change their minds.... and then change back later. ?
Interesting take on the FSW Red Wine

Post in thread 'Rafael Benitez Appointed Everton Manager'
https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/...appointed-everton-manager.112986/post-8873489

“Newcastle fans loved him and wish he was there now. Rafael has a unique ability to bond with fans and make them think he is doing well even when results show otherwise. He always turns fans against the owners by saying he does not get the transfers he needs even though his own history with transfers is dreadful to say the least. Essentially, except for one night of greatness in the Champions League many years ago he is a glorified Sean Dyche.”

Really looking forward to our corners at the RS now, never thought I'd say that. We packed their box with bloody monsters today, can't see their centre back/s relishing this next week.

Midfield battle and set pieces will be key.

RS look shaky in both whilst we have a physical midfield trio and threat from set plays.

We simply have to take our chances though as they are too spawny especially at the pit.

Thats my big worry as DCL cant score in a brothel at present.

Even if we go down im totally confident that he would bring us back up.
I think so too. You just have to hope that the board stick by him if the worst case scenario does happen this season but I believe he's more than capable of keeping us up based on his previous record for a good few seasons, based on the fact that he's been in a like for like situation more or less (15 points after 20 games) and kept Burnley up and especially based on what we seen today.

If we go out and perform like that every game then I don't see why he couldn't win us another 5 or 6 games + a few draws, especially at Goodison.

Tempting fate a bit, but our midfield 3 can run all over theirs.

Appreciate DCLs form isnt great, but if he plays like he did today, he will cause them all sort of problems.

This is how many likes have had...

It's their luck that worries me too mate. With a midfield showing like we put in today though you'd have to say we'd hold our own.

Also the 2 weak points I feared today were maybe Myko and Coleman, both were magnificent really, doing a more simple fullback role and no fancy stuff. Mcneil helped in them being able to do that too, the pressure he took off us was incredible with his display.

I'm no Calvert Lewin lover either but I have to say he put himself about the most I've seen him do for 18 months,I think Dyche knew he'd not last the 90 with the tempo he demanded. It'll come good for him I hope soon but I doubt he's fit enough yet to last a 90 in this team.

My main concern is Dyche changing things, more of the same surely would give them a game. I think he'll stick with the winning formula.
At worst now it's 3 points from 2 games we thought we'd be murdered in, so things are better than we could have wished for this time last week.

Great to know we have Gray, Simms,Garner(when fit), Patterson, Godfrey, Holgate and Keane all fighting for a place too now. After the turnaround in Doucoure and Mcneil today I'm still buzzing.

Don't know how the future will pan out but hearing him speak before and after the match has been an absolute breath of fresh air, no nonsense or excuses or self pity city, just pure enthusiasm and making sure you give you best at the absolute minimum.

Could all come undone in the next few weeks/months but the early signs are positive and his no fluff approach is what we have needed for ages. I also liked that he avoided the trap of slagging off what has gone on earlier in the season and went with ''we just needed to shine ther badge up a bit''.
