Never really understood why we didn't look more dangerous from corners, when you look at the team. He's clearly had McNeil and Iwobi practicing putting them in the right place. Even if this is the limit to our scoring potential, and we're getting run ragged, it gives us a chance in every game.
Serious answer is that Lampard was using Gray for corners and the bloke can't get the ball past the first man.

Pretty clear Iwobi & McNeil were instructed to get it up and over for the talls to get onto it.

Massively improved in terms of organisation and tactics. Pressed as a unit really well. Nullified the threat of Saka and Martinelli by doubling up using Iwobi and McNeil to help the full backs.
We’ve looked so susceptible to quick breaks and counter attacks all season but that didn’t happen at all today- against one of the quickest sides in the league. Always a midfielder sitting in and shielding the back 4.
Very encouraging start. Although our better performances have come against top of the table sides this year there was enough there to give encouragement that Dyche has the nous to get the best out of these players.
Mykolenko hauled someone down when they were breaking and took the yellow card which is what we have been lacking for most of the season. We were too easy to play against but not today.

Not rocket science is it ....work hard for the shirt ....we'll get behind you !
Bonus 3 points today. A struggling RS side vs. an Everton team with some positivity, we know how this usually goes but an away point would be fantastic and a great platform going forward. Dyche does make me think we could get the win next week. ( I havent felt that way all season ! )

New manager bounce is a huge disservice.
That was a very well organised side, who was always a threat throughout the game, and should have had a few first half.

Let's be honest, they had two good chances all game. This is a side who are top of the league and they barely laid a glove on us. Massive credit to him.
We will see put in a similar performance against City away, and literally had the blond ogre screaming like a baby. Then capitulated at home against Brighton..That's where Dyche will earn his reputation, consistency.

Says a lot of the right things but I have to say you can't help but admire him showing real backbone under pressure to make signings to say no if the players arent what he wants. He is right that we should only sign actual targets and not panic buy.
True. The club need to get out of that habit of signing players who offer nothing but tie up scarce resources. Yes mistakes can be made in the transfer market but not a the level we have made in the past.

I think they’ve been working hard. I think it’s just been the lack of organisation.

Lots of comments online from fanbases of other clubs saying very complementary things about Dyche.

A Man Utd fan said that if you gave Dyche funds to spend, he’d become one of the best managers in the country. Hell of a take.

Is it just me that thinks Sean Dyche is starting to grow an Everton badge on his face, starting on his forehead? ?

Seeing him more in interviews, there’s no surprises from him, to how I perceived him.

It’s not damning him with faint praise to say he’s a fairly no-nonsense bloke, who starts with the basics of hard work and organisation and builds from there.
