I mentioned this in another thread but the more I think about it the more this performance may have been a result of the intense training. The pressure and physicality that most expected was not there and the passing was tired to say the least. Maybe I'm clutching at straws.....

I see Dyche mentioned that the players "need to be brave on the ball'.

Yeah the last manager tried that and it doesn't work with this group unfortunately Sean.

Lob it up top to the new target man we signed in Jan....oh hang on.

What a bloody tough job he's got.

If he thinks trying to keep Burnley up was pressure, he can x that by 1000.

What a fkin [Poor language removed] show this club is and what a massive game we have Saturday.

There were signs that Liverpool could get frustrated trying to pick a stubborn lock - something they're not great at these days - and that maybe they'd have panicked if Tarkowski's header had gone in. Some will take that as a positive, but I think it shows how precarious this approach is. One misstep and you're toast, especially when there's very little individual quality or natural goal threat in the squad.

Bleep test this lot to death, Doucoure still won’t be able to control a football, Mykolenko still won’t know where to be and McNeil will still be weak as pee.
Won’t help unfortunately, the basics of defending and putting a foot in just wasn’t there tonight, both of their goals we had plenty of opportunities to just take a player down, the first goal in particular, they need to think for themselves and stop counter attacks like that.

If it gets a reaction for the Leeds game then it will have done a job. Least he now knows that this lot can’t be trusted an inch. They’ll have him under the bus unless he keeps his foot on their throat every minute of every training session and every game. He can’t slack off a single second with this lot as they just revert to doing nothing
I agree, he needs to get a reaction out of them for the Leeds match. We knew going into today that ultimately, while all games are important, the Leeds match was the one we would need the most. I have faith in Dyche, but not so much the players.

I'd like to think that's what Dyche will (behind closed doors) tell the players it was unacceptable. Both goals we could have taken a yellow by cleaning them out

Just too soft as usual.

They simply can’t go out with a whimper against Leeds now after turning that in tonight. They know the fans will be on them if it’s anything other than a win against Leeds. Their cards are marked now and there’s no manager to hide behind, the fans won’t go against Dyche as they know how rubbish some of these players are.

I can understand his interview, he’s basically saying we got 3 points from 6 where nobody expected us to get any but you have to draw a line after the Arsenal win and try and take at least a point against that lot, the most disappointing thing for me was the manner of the goals we conceded.

You wouldn't be shocked would you to see us lose against Leeds?

I wouldn't be shocked. I'd be surprised if we won.

We are fkin dreadful, we look every inch a relegation team so any win is a massive bonus. There's not one game left where I'd class us as an absolute cert.
