You wouldn't be shocked would you to see us lose against Leeds?

I wouldn't be shocked. I'd be surprised if we won.

We are fkin dreadful, we look every inch a relegation team so any win is a massive bonus. There's not one game left where I'd class us as an absolute cert.
The Leeds team that has movement and goals versus the Everton that, errrrrrm, hoofs??

Wouldn’t be shocked if we lost, but wouldn’t be shocked if we battered them either.

It’s just a very mentally weak group of players who only seem to be able to get up for a game when they have 40k people urging them to run for every ball and clear their lines. When they dont have this they seem utterly clueless as to what they’re doing on a football pitch and have done under numerous managers.

This same group of players gave the top of the league their hardest game of the season, then backed it up by giving a bang average Liverpool team their easiest game of the whole season.

I've said it previously mate, ONCE AGAIN, Evertons existence as a PL side will be down to the magnificent support of Evertonians.

This squad are incapable of doing things by themselves

Wish we would have had him for the Wolves and Southampton games. Would probably win one of those or at the very least draw both.
We left it too late. People didn't want to hear it though when plenty of us said Lampard should have been axed after Bournemouth. The season was retrievable up to the World Cup final. We decided to stay loyal. We can repent at our leisure in the Championship.

I can understand his interview, he’s basically saying we got 3 points from 6 where nobody expected us to get any but you have to draw a line after the Arsenal win and try and take at least a point against that lot, the most disappointing thing for me was the manner of the goals we conceded.

Ano. Pickford was great for the run in last season but i think hes been ropey this. If our goalie was concentrating and watching play at least he couldve made a save. The game changed after this incident. He can see every part of that move and he can see the cross come in. His head was all over the place again tonight. The move should never had got this far and if pickford was in the right position nobody would call him out on anything. That though is dreadful.

Unfortunately there was the perfect storm of the fans being desperate for Lampard to succeed and the board being clueless who to replace him with. Tbh though, after seeing what I did tonight I have my doubts that Dyche would've been able to turn this round even if he'd been brought in earlier.

We'll find out on Saturday whether the Arsenal game set a standard or if we're just going to fall back on putting in garbage like we did tonight.

As bleak as it is, I take a little comfort from knowing that I will have a very clear sense of where we are headed after Saturday's game. If we lose - and I think we will having seen the last two Leeds games - then we'll know we're gone, in all likelihood. Yeah, lots of games left, but the trend is being reinforced with every passing week. Lose that six-pointer and I think people will start to accept the inevitable. This game is pivotal. Win and we are re-energised with two critical wins in three. Draw and we miss yet another chance to maximise home advantage and do damage to a direct rival. Lose and, well, only the wildly optimistic would say that things won't spiral at Goodison. I think things will start to get ugly...

I see Dyche mentioned that the players "need to be brave on the ball'.

Yeah the last manager tried that and it doesn't work with this group unfortunately Sean.

Lob it up top to the new target man we signed in Jan....oh hang on.

What a bloody tough job he's got.

If he thinks trying to keep Burnley up was pressure, he can x that by 1000.

What a fkin [Poor language removed] show this club is and what a massive game we have Saturday.
Good post

Simms should have been hooked after 25 minutes.
I'd say that's 20mins to long, I know he's young and obviously totally overawed by the occasion, but he actually looked like he thought he was just having a kick around with his kids in the garden at a family bbq.

Reckon I've heard every manager say that after Anfield derbies in my lifetime. Didn't think they needed more bravery tonight - just less complete stupidity.

Interesting to hear Dyche wanting the players to give more when we do have possession though. As you say, I don't think they are capable.

He just mis-read it. It's not as bad as it looks. It's not great obviously but a keeper when faced with 3 on him has to make a decision. Salah as much as I can't stand him made unreal ground there and when he looked out of balance got a touch on it. Inches at either side. Could have been so much different.

One positive at least, set pieces are looking much better. Limited chances with them tonight but will get more in games v bottom half teams. Burnley won loads of games down the years just scrambling goals from corners in games they got dominated.

Tarks barely looked like scoring all season and he could've easily been 2 in 2 under Dyche.

Faint hope but if Mina could stay fit he'd chip in with a goal or two before the end of the season.
