Thinking Carlo was a better manager for us than Silva is everything wrong with this club. You can't fix it until you understand where you are and what your problems are. This shows we fundamentally don't.
Carlo was in the higher places of the table until the collapse in the last few games with the same squad that went on to survive by the skin of their teeth.

All of those options who haven't even sniffed European, let alone English football, and put them in to fight relegation. Uh, yeah, solid.

Or do you mean the rest of The List, where managers of already established teams/squads will jump ship to come to us with 0 days of the transfer season? Worked well for Marsch, Jones etc. etc.
Who cares?

So he wasn't right for us but imaginary man from South America definitely is?

You answered yourself why we got Dyche btw - because he fits our situation. All of your imaginary friends fit absolutely nothing of this situation.
Our situation is we need to get better so Dyche who plays terrible by choice (I don't mean pretty, he plays a losing style) is not right for us.

He still finished lower than Silva though. I'm with biggy on this one, Ancelotti was absolutely not the type of manager we needed, while Silva was. I disagree with him about Dyche though, I'm not his biggest fan but I can see the logic in trying to stay up and/or steady the ship rather than going for a rebuild at this point. I wish we weren't in a position where Dyche was a decent choice, but we are.

Our situation is we need to be a lot more strict and stop conceding goals, not play beautiful football. "A losing style" got him 7th with some absolute turd footballers in the squad. The copium is he might do better on a bigger budget - Simeone did pretty much exactly that when he moved to Atletico and it worked quite well. I'm not asinine to say he'll be our Cholo, but sure, why not.

He plays abrasive pressing football, granted not pretty on the eye, but if it grinds out results so be it. We don't have the players for technical football and I honestly don't know exactly how thick a person has to be to not understand that.

Also go to Goodison so you can feel exactly how it is when the team gives their all. This is what people want. This is what Dyche will get. The rest is left to be seen.

Sacking after 2 games, though, actually is asinine.

Ancelotti was the type of manager we need provided we had any money to spend. The way it happened though, we were skint. It was actually exciting to see a team built by him at Goodison, but he left overnight and then we saw why with the next 4 months worth of decisions, which he was probably privy to (and probably shocked by them also).

Simeone to Dyche is a comparison of someone fully lost. It's not reasonable because they both skew defensive.

Evertonians need to stop doing the "we like effort" lie. We like success the same as everyone else.

Agree with this - why is there a perception that there is a higher ceiling for cavalier managers? There's more than one way to crack an egg and the likes of Mourinho, Conte and Ancelotti have proven that you don't need to play free-flowing football to be a success in this league.

Pleasing on the eye or not, the up-and-at-'em style of Dyche is what the Goodison crowd responds best to. And the difference between him and the likes of Ferguson and Lampard, who have galvanised the crowd for a short period, is that he's an actual coach with an actual thought-out plan.
