The second half was as bad as any derby performance in recent memory.

Against the Liverpool of previous years, it would have been four or five easily.

We played poorly, but we have poor players.

You know, the first goal was unlucky and fortuitous - so easily could have been a goal for us and the second was an Iwobi brain fart in a break down in play with loosing possession (again) - could have easily have gotten a point.
We didn't - different times than the current ones and we let him go when we should have, for a change.

He was and is a top man but was pretty much at the right job in the wrong time to achieve success, as we now know. It also led to the actual only good hire we had but he left as soon as an actual good opportunity arose, which is honestly understandable, even if it hurts. Man saw the crapshoot behind the scenes and left to win trophies.

The trauma FFS.

Yeah that's what I mean really. Ancelotti is obviously a great manager in the right circumstances, but we didn't have those circumstances for him so it was a pretty stupid appointment. Dyche is pretty much the opposite, he's not a great manager and is probably unlikely to get us where we really want to be (as a fanbase I mean) but in the context of how the club is actually run and the situation we're in I think it's a fairly logical appointment.

We will hate having Dyche as our manager soon enough. If we get relegated, we'll say we were crap but he didn't help. If we stay up, we'll call the football limited and want someone better in.

But for where we are now, it was the only option and in my opinion at least what we need. If he keeps us up, I think he should get a full season after that as well.

Koeman got us in to Europe. Silva was ok as well, Richy played better under him than anyone. Both were let down by a crap defence and an inability to get a striker. Carlo had no depth in the squad.

Until something up top changes we will continue to buy poorly and the managers and supporters pay the emotional price.

I feel for Dyche he is the kind of guy you want to have a beer with. I fear we break his spirit like the rest.

They spent the entire second half either receiving our lazy misplaced passes or nipping in front of our flat-footed players to steal the ball.

It was basically an unconditional surrender at the first sign of adversity.

Pathetic.

If he keeps us up mate, he’s done an incredible job, I can’t think of a time we’ve had more adverse circumstances.
It's probably the worst state we've been in since the ramifications of the NTL fiasco hit.

And much like then, this mess is entirely of the club's own doing.

I think that's why I'm not really arsed if we go or we don't. If we stay up, it'll only be the same story next year, and then the year after that.
