Wouldn't be surprised if Dom starts myself.

I get it completely, I fully support him. That a bit unfair mate. What the point of him getting embroiled in a civil war - i don't want him to, i want him to manage the team and get us out of this mess, that is and should be his only focus. So we can stop with all the "Yes man" stuff - not you but im seeing other comments, pushing that angle.
He's not going to come out and say we have poor attacking options ffs - he has to manage this team until the end of May and he knows he has to call on some of these lads, utterly stupid to be saying they need replacing in a press conference - even if they do.
I get it completely, I fully support him.
I don't think there is anything wrong with him saying we lack options in attack though. It's not exactly a massive story, everyone knows it.

Yep very much towing the party line so far. Which I get because he's only just got here. But if he decides to always go with the party line rather than the overwhelming fan opinion, then I see problems down the line.
There is no credible argument to suggest the squad has good enough attacking options. There is nothing wrong with being honest and realistic, especially since everyone who watches the club is smart enough to know the situation,
The negativity is soul destroying .... "we wont ever get another striker in, ever again" lol
Moyes's was 'embdy'...as in 'anybody'.Martínez had his "phenomenal"
Silva had his "moments"
For Dyche it's all about "alignment"
He is quite straight in his opinions, while also trying to keep things sensible. I think a lot of his criticism is by fans who clearly have an agenda against him. Not sure what they want him to actual come out and say that won’t be a massive disruption.I thought that was a decent conference, at the very least he’s trying to be as sincere as possible given the circumstances.
He's new, he doesn't want to upset the apple-cart just yet.Thought his answer on striker targets having to be PL ready, can't have project players, was completely stupid considering the club left him with 1 PL ready striker and 1 project striker (Simms)...
Just reading the transcript thankfully he was very diplomatic with his words:
"I came in here with open eyes, it will be a challenge. There's no point masking that. The striker department has fewer options than we would like."
"I'm trying to align a situation that is better going forward. That takes time. The main focus is to fast-track the side into winning games. That is really important, but we are exploring possibilities."
Takes time to build a balanced squad. It’s clear that financial regs killed us the last few windows and we had to sell Gordon and Richarlison to balance books. We probably put all our eggs in Danjuma’s basket then the rest of the free agents and loans either weren’t up to standard or didn’t want to come here. A ridiculous situation to be in but one that Dyche can’t really do much about.
It’s going to take time to balance the books and balance the squad. The years of poor recruitment, constant managerial change, crippling injuries, have left us on the wrong side of the regulations with an unbalanced mess of a squad.
I’d like to hope we have more money in the summer as another expensive loss making year falls off the accounts and we will have some wriggle room to spend. Stay in the league, stay with Dyche, move on some players, bring in some decent ones in the right positions, improve from there.
We had to stick with Lampard too. Stability is only good when it's stable at an acceptable level. Dyche has 16 matches to show us he can do that. But the mistake with Frank was looking at staying up as proof. The results don't matter. We have to play better. If we do Dyche stays if we don't try again whether it's the PL or the championship.Im very critical of both the Richarlison and Gordon deals myself mate. I just dont accept either passively regardless of the profit and sustainability rules, nor do i support a model that sees us sell our best players and try to reinvest - overall we just get worse and worse. That's just my take.
I think this financial year we are in right now i.e. 22/23 we are in profit. So i see us being in a healthier space this summer.
We have to stick with Dyche, even if we are relegated, the aim has to be stability and by that i mean the absolute minimum amount of change in management - we need a regime to bite, we need stability, we absolutely cant be in this position again in a couple of years never mind two, Dyche is our man now - he sees out his contract.
