We could still end up with only 3 wins in the remainder of the season so think people need to remember Monday and temper the excitement.
It’s less excitement and more an acknowledgement that there has been some improvement. It now needs to be sustained and built on.

The performance at the pit was disappointing and, yes, a concern, but we regularly bottle it there, so the jury is still out on the context of the defeat.

If we beat Villa, it would be nine points out of twelve, and a big step towards safety.

It’s less OTT than after Arsenal I’ll say too much. We just have a habit of swinging to extremes. I’m forgetting about the wins as soon as they happen till this season is over. These players are cowards and need to show us they will fight when they don’t have Goodison behind them.

I think he means Gray and the fact he keeps getting left on the bench. He is our top scorer but he doesn't offer much cover and he also gives the ball away/misplaces more passes nearly twice as much as any other player in the squad. Dyche just isn't going to take those sort of risks at the moment and rightly so, something the oilman doesn't like as he wants us to take risks as it's "all about the performance" and the results don't matter.

I think you’re right and I also think gray is a bit of a maverick and probably doesn’t stick to your plan , I’m not sure that’s a big plus when it comes to this manager so consequently I’d expect him to probably be on the bench a While longer .

As regards dyche he’s had a good start , given the tools he’s been provided with by those criminally mismanaging the club I’d say he’s doing really well to make this battle competitive and give us a real chance .

I think if we're still at 0-0 with like 20 minutes left in games he has to be brought on up top or alongside a striker. Has to. He's the only player in the squad that can score out of nothing.

Relegation is no a danger now, this year we must aspire to end middle of table, next year signing a reference striker we can aspire European positions. How lucky we have Dyche.

In an alternate universe we have 0 points from the last 3 games, the fans are setting fire to the stadium, and the clubs social media is posting about how the under 23s are covering an extra 0.7km a game now that we’re paying marcelo bielsa £10m to manage them.
Is it too early to say bed lol

Nail on head. These players have let us down time and time again so I simply have no faith we'll back up an upturn in home form with improving an embarrassing away record.

Here's hoping anyway.

Just very annoying we get a hard fought win and Bournemouth and Southampton go and do the same. If they would have both lost at the weekend the table looks very different today. The gap is so so tight.

I personally think West Ham will be fine however we need Spurs to do is a favour later. It keeps the pressure on them. Would be typical of us if they get a result away at Spurs though today. Yes there is also loads to be said in regards to ‘win your own games etc’ but the reality is much different. The last thing we want is to host Bournemouth on the last day of the season and find whoever loses goes down. Our luck will run out in them games sooner or later.

All in all I’m delighted with 6 points for 9. I would took a derby defeat for the other 6 points because I was convinced the Arsenal game and Liverpool games were defeats. We need another good performance against Villa who look great going forward but not amazing at the back.
