2022/23 Sean Dyche

Lampard got sacked because the club sold his best player and didn't replace him. We've ended up with a midtable championship forward line

If Dyche keeps us up its a minor miracle but I suspect the utter lack of quality in attack will be what sends us down and gets Dyche the sack too.

I hope he is finally the manager who gets to stay and the board leave instead but I doubt it will happen. Its always another manager who gets the boot.

No manager can fix this mess. I'm fed up repeating it.

He had Richarlison up top last season and barely kept us up.

He's an abysmal manager. Dyche is 1 win away from matching Lampards massive 3 league wins this season despite only being in charge for 4 games with the same squad.

Still waiting for my 442 tbh. Understand why the first 2 games went for safe and solid, but we won’t stay up bungling in corners. If we aren’t playing with wide players that bomb forward, then a narrow 4 man midfield should be able to shuffle across the pitch to the side the ball is on, and squeeze together to clog the middle. Hard yards obviously for those 4, but thought that was the whole point of this new dawn? Doesn’t need to mean we have gaps if they work across.

We have 2 fit strikers, neither of whom have either the quality or physical attributes to play up top alone. Both together would help each of them.

Expecting Doucoure to arrive in the box and score like peak Lampard is a sad embarrassing joke, particularly when he shows no interest in sprinting back when we lose it, so may as well have 4 anyway. Onana is wildly inconsistent and never looks like scoring either. Goals aren’t coming from midfielders joining the attack.

I think the stereotyped Dyche formation/style scores goals today, and we do (sort of) have the players to play it. Scraping a couple of wins in a 451 seems to have frightened them into sticking with it.
To me 442 makes the things that are working worse without really fixing the other problems.

I really wanted Frank to succeed but he was awful. The improvement under Dyche is immense but he can only work with the tools he's got

I have seen enough of Dyche so far to convince me he will do exactly what he was brought in to do…..get us back up from the Championship next year.

We will play our first game in Bramley Moor as a PL side ;)

Who is scoring the goals to get that side into the top 2 over 46 games?

I'm not at all convinced these attackers would be any good down a division.

I'm not a massive I've got to be honest but 100% won't be blaming him if and when we get relegated

Just a couple of things imo

He's got a way he wants us to play and there's no plan B. Its one way or no way.

He's already picked his favourites

I see a team working hard
But
I see a team not good enough to get the results required

I see a manager very much at his limit.

In no way will I blame him if we get relegated, but it is very much percentage football and relying on set pieces

That's what he is and what choice do we have? The players we have aren't capable of much more as we saw under Lamps. I would much prefer progressive footy but we are in the absolute mire, not sure I can blame the manager for a basic set up.

Issue is I would like to see that at home but the problem is which two do you pick up front and when you take Doucs out our midfield gets oytnumbeted
