Matty, we were let down by the DoF and the board. Everyone in world football could see we needed goals.

The issue I have with Dyche is he’s very one dimensional in his approach to attacking. We neither have a big man up top or midfields that know when to attack in a dangerous situation

I think any manager had no shot; it’s why Bielsa flew half way across the world to laugh in our faces

lol

Still waiting for my 442 tbh. Understand why the first 2 games went for safe and solid, but we won’t stay up bungling in corners. If we aren’t playing with wide players that bomb forward, then a narrow 4 man midfield should be able to shuffle across the pitch to the side the ball is on, and squeeze together to clog the middle. Hard yards obviously for those 4, but thought that was the whole point of this new dawn? Doesn’t need to mean we have gaps if they work across.

We have 2 fit strikers, neither of whom have either the quality or physical attributes to play up top alone. Both together would help each of them.

Expecting Doucoure to arrive in the box and score like peak Lampard is a sad embarrassing joke, particularly when he shows no interest in sprinting back when we lose it, so may as well have 4 anyway. Onana is wildly inconsistent and never looks like scoring either. Goals aren’t coming from midfielders joining the attack.

I think the stereotyped Dyche formation/style scores goals today, and we do (sort of) have the players to play it. Scraping a couple of wins in a 451 seems to have frightened them into sticking with it.

What we've seen so far proves he is a good coach who knows how to organise a team. The limitations we have up top aren't his fault and adapting the team to counter those limitations are next to impossible. Our best bet of staying up is lots of clean sheets and we've got that in us.
Villa scored 2 and they're rubbish. 0-0 is getting us nowhere. None of this is Dyches fault, we've improved massively but I think we're finished.

Lampard got sacked because the club sold his best player and didn't replace him. We've ended up with a midtable championship forward line

If Dyche keeps us up its a minor miracle but I suspect the utter lack of quality in attack will be what sends us down and gets Dyche the sack too.

I hope he is finally the manager who gets to stay and the board leave instead but I doubt it will happen. Its always another manager who gets the boot.

No manager can fix this mess. I'm fed up repeating it.

I have a feeling that dyche will still be here even if he takes us down.

Not convinced he can sort us out in time based on the performances so far.
I think our lack of cutting edge will consign us to relegation in the end.
He has gone about his job competently , but I still don’t think he was the best appointment to solve our goal scoring problem.
That said I think our goal scoring problem may be insoluble by anyone in our current state!
