He has more goals than the rest of them so at least he's got that going in his favour. I don't think anyone particularly thinks Gray is an outstanding footballer but in a team that struggles to create and score goals he's someone who can at least offer something out of nothing.
He has 3. Not 8. Even then, it always seems like he makes the wrong decision with the ball turning it over. That’s just my opinion.

In the present situation he has to start, only one who can carry the ball and get the team up the pitch reasonably quickly. With no Gordon anymore counter attacks move at a snail pace. And for all his flaws he can occasioningly hit a goal out of nothing like at Man. City or late on v Arsenal last season.

Really don't get why he isn't starting.

Were our fans expecting something from today? Worrying how many fans are angry…I’m angry with the villa result and I’ll be extremely concerned if we lose at the weekend. But today went as expected. I’m sure someone’s reading this and wants to say “but we expect fight from them”…why and when was the last time. So why would we expect something different against the team that ALWAYS smashes us. We know the team is terrible, or at least you should know. Our starters wouldn’t have gotten onto Arsenal bench. Blaming Dyche?? Other than maybe start gray, what should he have done different?

We lost 4 something to bournemouth....so what did we expect againt Arsenal away from home. This was a pointless game for us next one is way more important!!

He has 14 more games to keep us up.. if he doesn't for me that's enough of him .
Oh yes, its all Seans fault when we were doomed anyway....if we do go down (which i hope we don't) he has a good chance of bringing us straight back up.
Who would you like to take over of we get relegated? For fecks sake have some patience with one manager!

I agree with this, would of liked to of kept the score down of course but this result doesn't phase me much, looked decent and did as well as we could of for the first 30 / 35 mins given the lack of a focal point up top, and bearing in mind playing against the league leaders who are genuinely top tier btw, however, and in typical fashion, we concede from a schoolboy type error while being fairly competitive in the game and proceed to get fully smoked out.

What do people want Dyche to do, the untouchable Coady finally dropped for his recent bad form, Gana punished and replaced, that in itself is progress. Imo we will click at some point soon and DCL will come back into the team and contribute, still think we will stay up.

He has 13 games left, 39 points to play for of which he will need to get almost 50% of those points available. Added to that four of those fixtures would be what we consider "expected losses" so really he's 9 games that he has to win 5 of at least. If we go down its because the board left it too long to change the manager and didn't buy a striker to fill in for Calvert Lewin not Dyche.

Spot on

What's the average win% of any premier league manager anyway? That would probably put him in the Mourinho, Wenger camp. We're down. Just whether we continue being a disgrace or not, really, for me.

Exactly! We conceded the first goals in the derby and against villa because of mistakes. Gueye has been at fault for too many direct goals, Dyche subbing him and not playing coady is a big change in what we’re used to seeing managers do.

See a couple turning on him already, my god we have some bad fans, really really do have some idiots following us.
Nope

People have concerns about him but I've not seen one person say he should go. I dont want another manager to go at all because the board should not be allowed to hide behind managers.

The squad ain't good enough. The board and owner are incompetent and arrogant. Whether or not Dyche is good enough is irrelevant right now. No manager can succeed under these circumstances, not lampard , not Dyche, not Pep Guardiola
