It was a kind of 442 in that we had 2 players who don't contribute defensively. But we didnt carry a threat either so it was a bit shambolic

The system change was woeful management. We needed a result today but the manager set us up in a way that gave us no chance whatsoever. If you require your goalkeeper to be that busy then your tactical set up is wrong.

He gave it a go today and I applaud him for the optimism.
The players(as always) let him down, there were some really poor performances out there today.

He's doing good work in such a short window and I definitely like him as a manager.
Every game he figures out who's who, who he can trust, and what we can do going forward.

Today could even be classed as a throw away game and a chance to see what's what.

On to the next game now, easier than the last 3 that's for sure, but obviously no easy games.

I don’t blame Dyche today. The front 6 did absolute nothing in terms of team press in the first half. We conceded Hollywood balls after Hollywood balls.

Simms doesn’t know how to team press and missing Doucoure means it’s a double blow in terms of energy and tenacity.

I think he is extremely limited tactically. We need to give him 2 or 3 seasons regardless but I dont think hes going to turn us around.

It’s proper weird from him tt. Bet he doesn’t set up like that at home against Fulham where it could potentially work lol.

We just gave them so much confidence early on as with the set up we gave them pacey players so much space. We may of still lost but he defo went against his ethos of keeping it tight and trying to snatch a goal.
