I reckon the biggest attribute the likes of Dyche and Allardyce have is to keep morale up among players that hardly ever win.

Some performances are better than others, but we've been down there for two years and appointed a relegation zone manager for a reason.

He'll just be thinking of ways to drag Fulham into a crap, boring game, and maybe workshopping a few quips for his next press conference.

All he has to do is continue using the same tactics and style weve been seeing before today.

If Coleman is out...put Patterson in. Godfrey out Mykolenko...centre back out Mina.

Doucoure out play Garner and start a little deeper in midfield away at old trafford.

Sometimes you take a chance. it can go either way but the
If he had setup like this vs Spurs / Chelsea then our goal difference across those 3 games would have been pretty eye watering.
He clearly felt UTD were there to be got at(which they are) and tried something different.
Of course it's reasonable to question that decision but sometimes you take a chance on something and either it goes your way or it doesn't, but you must perform to have any chance of a positive outcome.

So many players today were terrible.
It didn't work.

We're just not capable because we've no attacking nouse so hopefully he's coming to terms with that fact.

How exactly is he a relegation zone manager? Please explain..

Felt it was similar to Spurs. Gambling a high line, trying to press from the front. Douces a big miss but we got punished for gambling as they have better quality.
Would it have been better to sit back and defend and lose instead? Winning points in this game was extremely unlikely.

Probably would have been better to sit back and not present Utd with chances every 10 mins because we were so far up the picth

But I guess you sit in the “expected losses” gang.

Up the ‘kin Toffees, eh

At some point during the first half they said there was a chance at either end every 1.5 mins.

When you hear that you know whats coming.

I think it's safe to say as well that we can nip this "we want to take our positive attitude away from home and things are improving" and shove it firmly in the bin.

We didn't offer anything against the rs, basically gave up away to Arsenal after 40 minutes and today was the worst of the lot. 2 points out of 15, pressure ramped up to Defcon 1 against Fulham.

It wasnt an expected loss for me....i just thought it was going to be a very tough game to get anything at Old Trafford. So whilst im dissapointed we didnt play better i didnt expect to go there and win.

On Everton’s performances, Dyche said: “Against a very good side for starters, too many mistakes from us, they were the dominant force in the first half. We were getting done by straight balls and long balls which we didn’t deal with very well by our standards. Petty simplistic what we could have done better. There was still some very good last-ditch defending when we had made mistakes, it wasn’t like we had made mistakes and we were not trying to make up for them.
“The reality was not doing the basics well enough in the first half as a collective. They should have been further in front but ironically we had the chance of the game through Ellis Simms which may - you never know in these places - change the feel with what was going on that stage because it was 0-0.”

There's more proof that us sitting back gets us points that trying to attack with the worst attack in the league... especially away.
Maybe, but people would have complained if we sat back and lost so perhaps we tried to have a go. But it seriously failed, I guess Sean learnt alot about the team today.

Patersson ...sure. LOL. Thats really is a great idea. Even Dyche wont fall that deep. A pub player at right back and Godfrey (a little above pub but not by much) at left back! Championship here we come.
