Them teams you mention, will also be looking at visiting our place, and thinking they can walk away with at least a point. We have unreliable players, as witnessed at Manu. Players who simply fail to turn up for 'absolutely crucial' matches. Godfrey, Onana, Gueye, Gray. Then we have the 'try hards', like Coleman, Keane, Iwobi, who all have major mistakes in them. Keane constantly caught out of position, Iwobi seemingly playing 'for' Manu yesterday, the amount of times he passed to one of their players and run into traffic. Seamus Colemans 'Gerry Young' impersonation on the edge of our box, put the top hat on an awful day. Coleman's general game was all over the shop yesterday. Manu must have thought it was Christmas, Easter, and their birthday all rolled into one. I'm not certain, but I could have sworn that Godfrey was drunk.
If we do go down, it's on the players, not Sean Dyche. Could have been 10-0 yesterday, but for yet another superb Pickford display.
A Gerry Young impersonation, what a day that was. Oh happy days, thanks for reminding me, cheered me right up.

6th / 7th...no big difference. But anyway hardly the relegation places every year that you originally stated. You could put Pep in charge of this squad and he would win sweet FA. So what are you saying, a magic skillset to turn average PL players into premier league winners. Having a laugh pal, but we can draw a line under this now.
You can go around the houses all you want. He is demonstrably a bottom-end of the league manager.

He is an underrated mansger. Gruff and English, both out of fashion with owners of premier league teams.
His performance at Burnley was excellent - small club, small stadium, no budget, no superstars - but year after year they competed.
Right now he the manager we need.
First paragraph I can go with. Second paragraph is ruined a little by Kompany taking Burnley back into the PL playing beautiful passing attacking football all season, not long ball ugly football, despite being a small club, small stadium, no budget, no superstars, and may I add no fans really. The media kept telling us how great a job Dyche did at Burnley. Do not fall for it.

He got it badly wrong. Managers do sometimes. The key is he doesn’t make the exact same mistake again. Need to go back to the formation and tactics that have been serving us well. Garner deserves a go.
Onana plays like he's a cheerleader. Wowing the fans at the final whistle with Kloppesque fist pumps, after games where we've taken points. But he needs to take a long look at himself. He is doing literally nothing on the pitch. 5 yard passes back to the lad who has just passed to him, don't constitute a £33m midfielder. He should be dominating the middle of the park, aerially. The way he 'can' get around the pitch, with them long legs, he should try it once or twice maybe. He should be busting a gut to get into the box when we get forward. The same applies when we are being hit on the break. He looks languid most of the time, bereft of ideas what to do with the ball. He is heading the same way as Alex Nyarko went. As for Gueye. He looks finished to me. Garner should be given game time. Can't be any worse than either of them two.

im don’t let the media tell me anything. Many teams come up playing good football and then exposed. See where Burnley are next season and season after that. Chris wilder anyone? Norwich every season?
The fact is kompany maybe a good a manager as well, doesn’t negate the the fact that Dyche had Burnley punching above their weight during his time there, and is therefore a good manager.

Dyche took Burnley out of the Championship playing exactly the same style of football they played in the Premiership. How your team plays reflects the managers philosophy on football. As you say let's wait and see what happens next.

If Kompany's team continue to play the 'beautiful game' next season, fair play to him and his team. I doubt, very much, that his team will tear up the Prem next season though. I think defensively, they will get torn a 'new one' in with the big kids. Dyche's achievements at Burnley shouldn't be brushed aside. I also think some of the talk of 'long ball' tactics of Dyche, is grossly exaggerated. I've been at Goodison, when Dyche's teams have scored fabulous "team" goals against us. Jeff Hendricks goal in 2017 (0-1), McNeil and Wood (1-2) in 2019, all excellent goals. Hendricks winner in particular, they passed us to death! Dyche cut his cloth accordingly there. Budget restraints during his time, probably ensured that 'survival' was the order of the day.

I’d go one further, play 3 midfielders who can actually pass a ball to another player controversial i know but hey-ho.
What is this "midfielders who can 'pass' the ball to each other" you speak of?? Gueye, Onana, Iwobi and McNeil? Pass? To someone wearing blue? This is madness I tells ya, madness!!!

I like them doing what they do now. Filing their nails, and plucking their eyebrows, and scratching their testicles. Damarai Gray is "chief" nail filer and teeth flosser. The Guru.

But will Kompany keep Burnley in the Premier League for six or seven years. I think they come straight back down. Lots of teams come up playing beautiful passing attacking football and then cant replicate it in the premier league

We are a "bottom end of the league team", demonstrably. Would it not make sense to employ somebody dealing with "bottom end of the league" players on a weekly basis, rather than a washed up champions league 'winner' from nearly 20 years ago, or an inexperienced manager, who has not long hung up his boots as a wonderful footballer, who played alongside some of the best footballers this country has seen? Dyche won't panic, which is crucial in my opinion. He has the full CV, in fighting relegation. If we DO go down, at least we can say we 'tried' to do something about it. It's on the players, in my opinion, anyway. Jordan Pickford aside, that we are where we are.

I am too young to have been there. But on the dvd, Young does the exact same thing as Coleman tried to do. With the same result! How we got out of there only 2-0 yesterday, you have to take your hat off to Pickford. Fabulous keeper!

I know but apparently being able to pass and receive the ball with any kind of competency can win you football games🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
