Harsh that given 2 of the 3 draws were against Spurs when down to 10 men for 35 minutes and Chelsea away.
Harsh, yes but it's the reality of the situation.

I think after seeing Coleman exposed by the long diagonal switch last week he will be trepidatious about putting Patterson in there who does have a tendency to press forward.
After watching his masterclass on 4-4-2 some time ago I was struck by the notion that he outlined this as a key issue. Not that we have been playing 4-4-2 but he still expects his back four to move from side to side on the pitch and this can leave that FB exposed.
So Godfrey offers him a more defensive RB with good strength and pace.
Also on recent comments and tactics I think he sees Onana as best equipped to fill Doucoure's role which would open up space for Garner and the famously rhythmic Garner - Gana - Onana midfield trio. It would be interesting to see that triangle in the middle with Gana and Garner at the base.
My guess:
Pickford
Godfrey - Keane - Tarkowski - Mykolenko
Iwobi - Gana - Garner - McNeil
Onana
DCL
if things go to an hour and DCL is slowing bring on Gray to run them about or move Iwobi into Onana's slot and bring on Gray out wide with Onana making way
Well a win is way better than a draw. But only losing once in 5 games is also good morale-wise. We all know that this team can spiral downwards all too easily. I think that's what Dyche brings you: consistency. Not a run of back-to-back wins, but no collapse either. That should be enough to see us over the line.Harsh, yes but it's the reality of the situation.

Let's hope so, starting with 3 points tomorrow
It's not, same way as if we win, its not auto us staying up, but like you say it helps - to many people go way OTT both ways if we win or if we loseif we win tomorrow we have a massive chance to stay up
lose and it’s game over

I know a win is 3points lol, what are you on about, lose and we are down your saying, and a win helps as i said - A win wont auto mean we are safe like some have been acting like - IE win or lose people go OTT the top both way - turning themselves in to raving lunaticserm a win is worth 3 points and it’s needed
games are running out so it’s got to be a win it it is over
I love your giddy optimism M!if we win tomorrow we have a massive chance to stay up

I can't think of another player looking more vulnerable to a long diagonal than Godfrey last week.I think after seeing Coleman exposed by the long diagonal switch last week he will be trepidatious about putting Patterson in there who does have a tendency to press forward.

I've always been keen to master the long, diagonal, switch, myself. The ladies seem to like it a LOT.I think after seeing Coleman exposed by the long diagonal switch last week he will be trepidatious about putting Patterson in there who does have a tendency to press forward.
