Some of you are properly mad. We are absolutely rubbish, and we are trying to play without some of our most important players. Dyche isn’t a football genius but what on earth are you expecting him to do with these players?! We’ve just kept our second away clean sheet of the season and there’s people kicking off that he picked the wrong back 4. So bizarre.
I think actually he is a football genius. Give anyone else this team of players and see what they can do... I mean Chelsea rate lampard highly, they have reempliyed him and he could do nothing with these players. Dyche is doing OK with a championship level quality of players.

Youve seen the last 3 games ?

Then the prior matches under Dyche?

See the difference?

I am a bit worried about his subs, like last week, far to late, his use of Simms, even after that Chelsea goal it seems he hasnt been trusted apart from to throw him out at Anfield and Old Trafford, but today maybe Mason played a part in what we could do. Still a decent point
Maupay sub was ludicrous, Simms could clear corners and push Palace players off ball, could score from set piece or hold ball, what was Maupay ever gonna do bizarre sub.

He could have simply put Garner in for Doucoure and had him sitting deeper...not a huge difference.

Or moved Iwobi into Doucoures position and put in Mills/Patterson on the right of midfield.

Not change the whole structure.
That really is a huge difference though? The whole reason doucoure was doing well was because he was all action, energetic, using his strength and size and getting beyond the striker to give us an attacking threat. The combination of the 3 physical energetic midfielders together was working. You can’t just stick another midfielder with none of the same attributes in, play him in a different role and say it right just carry on the same way. That really shouldn’t need spelling out to be honest, it’s entry level stuff.

Yeah it's a bit of a worry, few games left, got to get these subs spot on, especially when we have so few options

We need someone with proven promotion credentials mate.

He went to Burnley a few months into season - got them straight up.

They went right back down but again, he got them right back up.

So he's had 2 goes at promotion, achieved it twice.

Did kompany have proven promotion credentials?

Its not a like for like player swap.

Im saying theres been alternatives where small tweaks were needed. Instead theres been a wiping of the blackboard.

Garner looks so out of his depth that he should be sitting in a submarine.

Best player 1st half.

I liked the idea of him, liked him after a couple of decent wins, but 1 win in 9, can't score, can't defend and now in the bottom 3. And his decision to constantly play his mates like Keane wind me up.

If we go down I don't want him to stay.

But it’s not a small tweak, that’s the point. It sounds like a small tweak because it’s only one player, but it means completely changing the way we were playing anyway, so it’s not really any smaller a tweak than anything else.

The way some people are talking you’d swear he was leaving out haaland and saka rather than *checks notes, not putting Stanley mills on the bench and bringing maupay on in the 93rd minute instead of simms.

Hopefully we have Doucoure and Onana back for Thursday night and Calvert will be fit enough to start again. I think with Onana adding some a power and physicality to the midfield and Doucoure bursting into the box to get on the end of Calvert Lewin's flicks, we just might get lucky. We really do need to get Gray out of the team for a few games, he has no confidence at the moment. I'd go back to basics. 3 in centre mid, Iwobi wide right, McNeill wide left and Calvert Lewin up front with Doucoure and McNeill running past him.

Right back is that biggest headache, I mean left back is a problem too, but, we don't have any choice there,as limited as Mykolenko is, he's all we have. For right back all our options are flawed until Coleman is back. I'd be inclined to go with Patterson, solely based on the fact that he is,at least, a full back.
