2022/23 Sean Dyche

For me Dyche has been making some really really bizarre decisions... by bizarre I mean bad.

If we went down I certainly wouldn`t want a Dyche team defending our way out of the championship, I`d go after a more attacking manager like Postecoglou.

I knew he inherited a bit of a mess and all, but there's no point in me signing players unless they're better than what we have.

That bizarre statement from Dyche, just keeps on playing repeatedly in my head for some reason. Still though he knows how to get a team promoted, if the worst does indeed come to the worst.

Can we stop making out like playing the likes of Patterson and simms are incredibly obvious moves that are guaranteed to have seen us get better returns in recent games? It’s fine to think that but let’s at least acknowledge that it’s based on literally nothing other than impotent rage.

The performances at right back over the last couple of weeks have been woeful. I don't think its unreasonable to question the manager for not playing people in their best position. The fans seem to know the squad better than the manager.

We've seen what hasn't worked. Rather than continually trying the same failed approach, try something different. If it doesn't work, fair enough.

It’s not unreasonable to question him, obviously. It is unreasonable to make out like they’re baffling decisions though, because they aren’t. I’d have picked Patterson in the last couple of games personally but it’s certainly not a no brainer. He’s started 11 games since signing 16 months ago and he’s been crap in half of them. Making out like he’d definitely have done better is just a fantasy - maybe he would, maybe he wouldn’t. Either way, we got a clean sheet today so focussing on the choice of right back is a very very strange thing to do.

Seen enough to suggest that he shouldnt be retained at Season end, no matter what happens.

I made that mistake with Lampard and ignored things I didnt wish to see, but im sorry Sean, you aint really for me.

No, I have no idea who else we should go for, I barely tolerate Everton these days and dont watch or pay as much attention to football as I have in the past.

Not totally his fault we utterly stink, but again, I ignored the signs from Lampard, fool me once and that.

Well Holgate is suspended on Thursday so if Coleman is out, the manager has a decision to make - Godfrey or Patterson. I would try Patterson because Godfrey was so poor last week.

As would I. Like I said, I’d have picked him last week too. I don’t watch him train every day though, and the people who do seem to consistently decide not to pick him in games. It genuinely could be bad decisions from them and bad luck for him but we’re getting to the point where i think anyone not considering the possibility of him actually not being that good (yet) is being a bit daft.
