He was at Burnley over 3 1/2 years before he kept them in the prem, and had 5 wins in his last 35 league games.

We're probably gonna need at least 5 wins in the next 18 games, starting next week.

We have to play top of the table twice, and have already had both games against 16th and 20th.

Its fair to say I'm not overly optimistic about us staying up.

But people ignore the messes he has also made at some clubs with finances.

Lampard took a team that regularly finished top 4 to finish 4th. Then in his second season had them in 9th when sacked.
Dyche took a team from the championship into the Prem and followed that up by getting into Europe.

And got them relegated twice

What do you think those two would have done at Burnley with those players and budget? Do you genuinely believe they would have had them top half on a consistent basis? Tell you what, I bet they wouldn’t!

Dumb take. Dyche finished 6th with Burnley. Now compare the amounts spent on players between Chelsea and Burnley to reach those positions.

Finished 7th in a season where we finished 8th while being in a relegation battle

I'm going to day this that will upset people but I'm going to say it anyway. Those who want Bielsa really don't know how much of a major risk it is. Every manager is a risk but any manager that doesn't have emphasis on defending will take us down, guaranteed. Martinez prime example. If you think Bielsa would come in and get us outscoring teams think again. You don't understand football. Did you see how many goals Leeds shipped in (and they had more seasons with him)? I'm sorry but "nice or entertaining football is not a luxury we need". We are currently being relegated. Even if we had thr type of players he wants, now is not the time for this kind of recruitment. He would need a long pre season.

We need a "boring" Dyche to stabilise us. If a group of people are drowning they won't perform a synchronized swim! They need a boring straight swim to the lifeboat! I would take a defensive outfit and play badly every week as long as it gives us a better chance of results. Remember the collective players we have are dog rubbish no matter how much we try to flower them up at times. I really hope it's Dyche because right now, we can I'll afford to make dumb decisions over style. But I'm expecting the board to make a dumb decision and go for Bielsa.
