The problem is the board and Director of Football don’t have a plan. So we go from one extreme to the other. Dyche was not the right man, neither was Bielsa.

If you have a long term plan, it’s easier to find a fit
Bielsa was 'a' long term plan, maybe in hindsight, 'the' plan we should've had 5yrs ago.
We only had short term to play with though

Hard to win matches when the manager sets the team up with the mentality that a draw would be a great result

It's why Tarkowski's comments after the game wound me up. Whole team is set up to protect against our defensive vulnerabilities. Acting as though we don't have problems at the back when we've only just conceded 3 goals at home to Fulham.

Dyche has made a rod for his own back with that by bringing Keane back in though. We had a reasonably decent record at the back then since Keane is back our goal difference has just dropped like a stone.

Really don’t get the two keepers and no mills or any other youngster on the bench yesterday - frustrating.

He’s playing the cards he’s dealt with the injuries and suspensions, I get that, but I’m sick of wasters like Holgate getting another start when we all know what they are and aren’t capable of - hope he doesn’t keep picking his favourites as well.

I think Bielsa became a long term plan because Bielsa told them that he had no intention of managing the first team this year

Basically flew half way across the world to tell us we’re [Poor language removed]
Bielsa offered to work with the kids until a June takeover from 'whoever'. Even our tossers could see that would never work because we've had the devils own job getting somebody decent under normal circumstances...with Bielsa hanging over their heads there would've  Been no 'whoever'
Piss ups and breweries yet again.

That's only the case if you insist on going for the 'PL experience' route. It's a route that has achieved nothing for us whether its players or managers. No English manager has won anything in the PL. Most teams now have a more 'coach type' in charge, someone who just wants to work on the training ground and develop the players and who are more tactically aware of whats needed in the modern game. The old skool manager types like Moyes and Dyche are being sidelined out of the game if you look about.
It’s ironic that attempting to be risk averse in our approach to selecting the right coach, will end up being the biggest risk we have taken over several managerial changes, which could see us drop out of the PL

Just think the Championship, rather than the premier league, would be the place to take a gamble on a young progressive type.

Dinosaurs like Dyche and Hodgson are only useful if they can get you out of relegation trouble. Otherwise they serve no purpose.
I’d agree it would be if it weren’t for the financial consequences and having to pay for a brand new stadium

I have always been of the opinion that a spade should not have been put in the ground until we were at least an established mid table team.

I mean, we were till last season?

Agreed where teams historically have had to go to the expense of moving to a new stadium (e,g, Arsenal and Spurs, not City or West Ham) their budget for transfers has been drastically cut, but they still had top six squads, were in top six positions in the league and could generate increased revenue to help fund new transfers…..we on the other hand……
