And I asked you, given how poor the players are, would you have expected Dyche to have got more out of them? Simple enough question - is this squad of players, with their limited ability, limited work ethic, injuries and suspensions likely to give us more than a point per average per game under Dyche? Me? I am not sure they are and I agree with you to an extent that the players are crap, but in the context of this season alone (not the general malaise at the club) it would be remiss not to scrutinise Dyche’s performance. For what it’s worth, if we go down I think Dyche should be given the chance to bring us back up. I don’t think anyone disputes that the quality of player we have brought in has deteriorated really since the second summer of Martinez’s tenure. That’s why we have limited revenue in player sales, no one wants to buy them at least for the price we would want.

If Lampard was here I think we’d be matching Southampton at the foot of the table if not worse.

Defence has got worse and we still can’t score. Like many of us said in the summer, (whilst people were telling us that McNeil, Gray and Maupay have spread goals acrosss the team) the team simply did not have goals and we’d struggle

Dyche
1.6 goals conceded
0.76 goals scored

Lampard
1.1 goals conceded
0.75 goals scored

Can see gray starting today, they will be on us from the off and we will need to hit them on the break. We need Gray to run the ball down some blind alleys and take loads of off target pot shots from distance for us.
We’ve really missed that thing he does where he stops the ball dead and shakes his leg around the ball about 8 times before giving possession away.

maybe work on technically developing their play……establish patterns of movement and speed of passing as well. Work on some of their ball playing skills. No matter how relatively poor the squad is, there are always players who can improve, they don’t have to be world beaters.

In the words of Frank Lampard, "enjoy the ball."

Like the players, the directores, owner, Not good enough
I said this a few months ago, I’d be surprised if there were any other club (although apparently Leeds now think they’re the same) where the owner, CEO, DoF, Manager (more under Lampard than Dyche), coaches and players are all under performing, it’s an absolute sh1tshow

@Blue peter no I wouldn't have expected Dyche to get more out of the wages thieves (A) because he's a crap manager that nobody with any sense would employ and (B) because I don't think anyone is getting more from this side. You can pretend all you want that a different boss might achieve better with this team. I vehemently disagree. The team would have to want to get better and have self-respect and professional pride to get better. They have neither. A team full of rats is what we've got.

I don’t believe I have disagreed….I was asking a question and said that I wasn’t sure another manager would get more in my post….read it again you will see it’s in there so no pretending from me….I was saying his results with this group deserves scrutiny as it does with every manager - the players are poor, there’s no getting away from that fact….the question was around whether the manager was performing poorly as well

@allen I'm not absolving him of blame though. I don't want him here and never have. I'll be happy when he's gone. He's an unlikeable bellend and a piss-poor manager but I'm done pretending that the manager is the problem at this club. We've got a team full of losers and wage thieves and its time we started recognising that they are the real problem.
There are so many problems at this club.

Ultimately, it boils down to the owner. That is of course where the focus ought to be directed.

But people are entitled to complain about the job Sean Dyche is doing in the Sean Dyce thread.

I`m so disappointed in Dyche, when he was appointed we all thought "At least we will be hard to beat" and "Organised".... In fact we are not, Lampard conceded 28 goals in 20 games, Dyche has already conceded 22 in 13.

I didn`t expect us to score more but I expected to concede less and stay in games longer, overall Dyche has the edge because it is all about points but he isn`t that much better, that probably comes down to players....

When you look at it like that that he really hasn't made that much of a difference. Not saying I wanted Frank to stay on as he was clueless (as replicated at Chelsea)
