Dyche is taking the blame now is he? That didn't take long did it eh?! Lol, some of you will never 'kin learn. The manager isn't the problem lads. The team is dogdirt and 99% of them don't have anything but contempt for both the club and the fans. Hell, most of them don't even have respect for themselves or professional pride. I don't know how many managers we have to go through for it to sink in with some of you. I don't even rate Dyche at all but its laughable to pin blame on him for this team.

It’s how it goes mate. When we win you see all the players threads full of praise. Any defeat and the blame is 💯 on the manager. Let’s judge him at the end of the season to see how things stands. That does not mean I agree with all of his line ups and tactics. I just think he has come In with a very difficult set of games after Lampard and has done ok. 4 out of the next 5 are against lower half teams. This is where he should be judged with this squad.

1 win in 10 and consecutive pathetic home defeats does that to a manager. He's been appalling after an optimistic opening few weeks. He needs to turn that round starting tonight.

@GoldenToffee no manager is turning this team around. Its garbage and the players don't care. Dyche can go tomorrow for all I care but his successor will be in exactly the same position with this team. They are the problem and they've proven it over and over and over and over again.
I don't disagree mate, but you can't tell me these players would fold like they do if there was a Sir Alex Ferguson-like figure waiting for them in the dressing room. They've had an easy life for years now though and I suppose it's difficult to make them suddenly need to actually work for their salary, sadly.

He's hardly covered himself in glory in recent weeks and this was always my worry.

I couldn't care less about his style or approach. But my worry was if he hadn't changed it since his Burnley days, when it had stopped working, then we'd struggle.

It's not like Howe, who went back to the drawing board after leaving Bournemouth.

He's made some baffling decisions (Keane, the RB situation) that have compounded an already crap squad.

is this the same "howe" who evertonians turned their noses up to and was ridiculed on here 🤣

It doesn’t matter who is the manager, the current squad members mostly have no spine and are mentally fragile. There were some horrendous results, especially at home, in the second half of anceloti’s last season and it continued ever since.
Stay up and we’ll be in the same position this time next year without a major overhaul of the squad, and we just don’t have the finances to do it.

18 goals we have conceded since the reintroduction of Keane. He talks a good game on all these podcasts and in interviews but I agree he has shown that little has changed from his Burnley ethos.

i think we could have all forgiven his style of football if the results had been good, but they haven't.

yes, the players are not good enough, but they were once, or they wouldn't have been signed.

there has to be a manager out there who can get the best out of them.

It’s as irrational to absolve him of blame as it is to blame him for us being where we are.

Our best game under him was his first game. We’ve got worse since then. All he had to do was maintain that promising early form. He didn’t even need to improve on that.

Instead we’ve regressed.

He's sabotaging himself, it's very bizarre, every man and his dog knows Keane is a disaster zone and Dyche thinks he's playing well, which means he'll no doubt start tonight.

The RB situation as well, self sabotage, then sticking with the same midfield when none of them can pass a ball accurately, when we have a young lad who by all accounts can pass a ball on the bench.

Baffling

How many points per season should this squad be getting in your opinion?

more than soton. b'mouth and forest for sure.

Er, have gained more points since Dyche has come in than Southampton and Forest. Also Leicester and Chelsea. We’ve matched Leeds.

Bournemouth spent about £50m in January and Forest signed players. Meanwhile Dyche was given nothing.

Based on his 13 games so far (most of which have been without our first choice striker) we’re running at 1 point per game. We’d probably finish 15th over the full season.

Not really sure what more you expect this squad to have achieved since January.
