@allen I'm not absolving him of blame though. I don't want him here and never have. I'll be happy when he's gone. He's an unlikeable bellend and a piss-poor manager but I'm done pretending that the manager is the problem at this club. We've got a team full of losers and wage thieves and its time we started recognising that they are the real problem.

Dyche is taking the blame now is he? That didn't take long did it eh?! Lol, some of you will never 'kin learn. The manager isn't the problem lads. The team is dogdirt and 99% of them don't have anything but contempt for both the club and the fans. Hell, most of them don't even have respect for themselves or professional pride. I don't know how many managers we have to go through for it to sink in with some of you. I don't even rate Dyche at all but its laughable to pin blame on him for this team.
I guess it’s whether you think a point average per game is good enough (it would have been enough to avoid relegation) since he has come in for the players he has had at his disposal, and whether you agree with his team selections, tactics and in game decisions - he is certainly not to blame for the overall position we find ourselves in, that’s mainly on the board and Lampard, but whether he has some degree of culpability for the 18 games he will have been in charge come seasons end.

Whilst I accept we’re bad, Dyche has got it horribly wrong the last 4 games.

My worry is we start slowly today, and we will fall apart if we go behind.

If we take the lead anything can happen.

It doesn’t matter who is the manager, the current squad members mostly have no spine and are mentally fragile. There were some horrendous results, especially at home, in the second half of anceloti’s last season and it continued ever since.
Stay up and we’ll be in the same position this time next year without a major overhaul of the squad, and we just don’t have the finances to do it.
See it does matter but I agree that a manager can only deal with the players at his disposal

@Blue peter it isn't good enough. Its crap, we're crap, Dyche is crap. The players are worse. They're scumbags and have downed tools under every single manager we've had during their time here. I'm done pretending that they aren't the problem.

I accept that mentality is fragile as well, and it is important to be resilient but in press conferences and interviews it’s all he seems to talk about….maybe work on technically developing their play……establish patterns of movement and speed of passing as well. Work on some of their ball playing skills. No matter how relatively poor the squad is, there are always players who can improve, they don’t have to be world beaters.

And I asked you, given how poor the players are, would you have expected Dyche to have got more out of them? Simple enough question - is this squad of players, with their limited ability, limited work ethic, injuries and suspensions likely to give us more than a point per average per game under Dyche? Me? I am not sure they are and I agree with you to an extent that the players are crap, but in the context of this season alone (not the general malaise at the club) it would be remiss not to scrutinise Dyche’s performance. For what it’s worth, if we go down I think Dyche should be given the chance to bring us back up. I don’t think anyone disputes that the quality of player we have brought in has deteriorated really since the second summer of Martinez’s tenure. That’s why we have limited revenue in player sales, no one wants to buy them at least for the price we would want.

Can see gray starting today, they will be on us from the off and we will need to hit them on the break. We need Gray to run the ball down some blind alleys and take loads of off target pot shots from distance for us.
