True.Maybe Everton are just rubbish not matter the Manager and that hiring new Manager after new Manager has left any new Manager with a squad of players bought by ten different Managers.
Yes we do. No guarantees at all the window would have been different. Once Spurs were in Danjuma would have gone there regardless. Hasn't exactly torn it up at Spurs either. With Danjuma + a forward?
Apparently Keane and Maupay were about to be moved on as well.
Instead we have what we have.
I think it would be refreshing to have Mills coming off the bench. Would be a lift for the crowd seeing someone keen to make an impression and would give opposition defenders an unknown quantity to deal with. Plus he regularly scores goals from midfield. Imagine that. It's in our hands now every result went our way this weekend we need a win - to get that we need goals ... Dyche has had a bit of time since he joined us to put at leat a couple of youngers on the bench like Mills etc - our bench must be the most defensive in the prem .... worrying ....
Our board? Wrong? Surely not.I don't want him to, but, I think he was brought in with relegation in mind, I think the board believe he would get us promoted, I would have to say I think the board are wrong, but, there you go.
We have still never made a decent managerial/coach appointment in the Moshiri era imo, why buck a trend now.I don't want him to, but, I think he was brought in with relegation in mind, I think the board believe he would get us promoted, I would have to say I think the board are wrong, but, there you go.
Bit hard to when 3 managers give you meagre minutes, since joining he’s played a grand total of 92 minutes in the league (6 games, 1 goal), 39 minutes in cups (3 games, 1 goal) and had 8 games as an unused subYes we do. That's possibly because he is isn't actually very good, I'm not bothered in the slightest he didn't sign tbh.Bit hard to when 3 managers give you meagre minutes, since joining he’s played a grand total of 92 minutes in the league (6 games, 1 goal), 39 minutes in cups (3 games, 1 goal) and had 8 games as an unused sub
It reminds me of the football under Benitez.I think lampard was worse than Dyche and it was a mistake not to sack him after the Bournemouth matches.
I feel like we've not got what we were promised with Dyche though. I was expecting a 'low block', 'dogs of war' system to drag us over the line. That hasn't been the case though and there are some basic issues he hasn't sorted and I'm not even talking about our inability to score.

I think that’s our issue isn’t it - we often change managers in times of crisis and at critical points in the season (the appointment of Allardyce being a textbook example) which means pool of managers to choose from is limited (based on the clubs risk evaluation) so short term thinking is the order of the day. Our appointments are not strategic appointments and are often taken out of the hands of the person who should draw up the short list, conduct the recruitment process and appoint the manager, the DoF.True.
But conversely i bridle at us choosing to back a manager whose style is ,in my opinion, counter productive to any real progress.
It will just mean.having to sack him in the future and changing the style again.
At this point he appears to be an extremely limited manager, no surprises , no inspirational moments just another ‘play for a draw maybe sneak a win’ type, his career record confirms this.
His poor judgement and in game management was exposed again in selecting Godfrey at RB despite him already performing badly there and failing to react at all when Newcastle specifically targeted him, he left him out there despite having Patterson on the bench.
Thats as solid an example of poor management that I have seen.
Yes we need to stick with a manager at some point.
But not one as limited as Dyche.
There "mustn't" be anything. Someone has got to go down and the 3 worst teams go down.We are rubbish but there must be a way to be better? I don't think any of us believe it is coming from the top so the only hope is some semblance of competence from a manager to drag us towards mediocrity.
