I don't think so. You specifically said there's only one reason he's picking McNeil and Tarkowski and it isn't their ability. I'm saying I think the huge majority of people would disagree with the idea that they're only in because of nepotism because McNeil has been our best player recently and Tarkowski has been an ever present all season (and while he's not amazing, I honestly don't think i've seen anyone saying he should be dropped). It's therefore a weird criticism to make.
So what's the reason for Keane then?

Like I say, that's entirely your interpretation and you're entitled to it.

I know what I think, but thanks for your alternative opinion on my thoughts.
I'm not a mind reader mate, and nor am I claiming to be. I'm commenting on what you actually wrote, not interpreting anything or offering an opinion on your thoughts, just responding to what you put down in words. If what you wrote doesn't reflect your thoughts then it's fine, but I'm not sure how that's my issue.

That maybe but has he helped himself. Look at last games no subs when clearly they were need. He is taking us down.

Absolutely. Said the same. But as he says it's the margins.

He should've put Gray on the other night. But what's to say Gray doesn't cover an area and Leicester go and score...

There's risks to be taken...but with this squad, I wouldn't trust any of them.

So what's the reason for Keane then?
That may well be because of his familiarity with him. I don't want to just repeat the same thing over and over but in my opinion the difference in quality between Keane and Coady is being massively overstated at the moment (this isn't a new hot take of mine, I said the same in the summer) however I don't rate Keane and never have. He clearly does offer some things that Coady doesn't (and vice versa) which may mean Dyche genuinely thinks he's the better option, or it could be that he's just someone he knows and trusts and likes and picks him for that reason. I have no idea. I would quite like him to stop picking him now regardless because he's in poor form.

Yeah if he’d just limited that comment to Keane he’d have a valid point. I don’t rate McNeill but on current form he’s undoubtedly worth a place in the team.

I was more than happy with coady/tarkowski at the start of the season. I actually think i posted quite a few times they were keeping us in games as they were the only two performing. This was backed up by the goals against table. Reality is they couldnt keep doing it on their own and getting exposed by the non existent attack and midfield was going to happen.
Everton have never been high in the goals against table with michael keane playing. Ever.

Maybe he just really doesn't rate a lot of the players

Not surprised.

Which is why the positive with Dyche is he's a track record or working with zero. And with our financial plight, that's what he'll have.

However, the argument will be from others to go "progressive" look what Burnley did with Kompany etc etc.

It's all opinions. If you did post I may well have replied to you saying that I thought we were getting away with it a bit and eventually it would catch up with us, and obviously it did. The 2 players have had relatively similar careers and I doubt too many neutral fans believe one is significantly better than the other. Once again, I will say that I'm no fan of Keane, I just don't believe that Coady is some sort of clear massive upgrade. Other people evidently do and that's fine.

You never know, let's see if this 'enormous' investment comes off.

I don't think there are any Dyche aficionados are there? I'm the only person i've seen defending him in here today and i'm certainly not one.
Fair play to you for defending him, maybe aficionado’s was the wrong word to use.

I want him to succeed here as that means we’re staying up and heading in the right direction, but his in game management is really frustrating.

The stats of goals against wasnt an opinion though. They were keeping us in games. There are no good stats of michaels keanes time in the side that compare. I think you're flogging a bit of a dead horse here fella.
Coady or mina for that matter i wouldnt describe as an upgrade. Just far less error prone

I want him to succeed and then I want the club not to repeat last year's mistake of showing loyalty to a manager who kept us up by the skin of our teeth. He's not good enough to manage in the Premier League so huge thanks to him if he keeps us up but don't persist with him next season.

Any fan who thinks this is going to work with Dyche in charge, needs to look at the facts, unfortunately there is no getting away from the facts and that is he is NOT a wining manager, he is showing his credentials now and his game management is awful, like I said if it wasn’t for Forest and Leeds messing about we would have been gone.

Mark my words Dyche will not be the Everton manager on Christmas Day this year, so hopefully we get something right as a club and get rid on the final day of the season
