Vincent kompany, or someone from the Bundesliga basically a non premier league manager who is seems to have promising traits and can rebuild a team to incorporate a more fluid attacking style.
Haven’t we done all this? I’m open to hearing opinions but haven’t we tried this?

Logically we would get one from Threlfells top three choices. Same as we should’ve done with Brands, with Arteta and Potter. Basically the owner & the chairman should be nowhere near the manager selection.
Arteta who every Arsenal fan wanted out when he started…. Potter who took a bigger job and got the bullet in 5 months. It doesn’t always work out how you want. I’m more than happy with Dyche if he keeps us up.

When? Martinez came from a relegated Wigan. Koeman came from saints. Silva came from a relegated watford. Lampard had already been at Chelsea. Dyche from relegated Burnley. Benitez and Allardyce both mercenaries who have been around in PL and both been relegated from PL.

Only non PL one really was Moyes and he has been our best manager in the last 2 decades.

The stats of goals against wasnt an opinion though. They were keeping us in games. There are no good stats of michaels keanes time in the side that compare. I think you're flogging a bit of a dead horse here fella.
Coady or mina for that matter i wouldnt describe as an upgrade. Just far less error prone
Like I said, the xG against was much higher than the actual goals against and it was pretty obvious to be honest that it wasn't going to last. I think there was a run of 5 games where the opposition hit the woodwork like 7 times so even the eye test was pretty obvious if you're not a believer in stats. The luck eventually ran out and we started to concede goals.

Have a look at what people were saying in the Coady thread around the turn of the year and just before he was eventually dropped, there's A LOT of criticism and plenty of people actually advocating bringing Keane back in, because just like now, the player who isn't playing is often seen as better.

Also there obviously have been times when Keane's been in the side when we've had good defensive records so that's just a bit of a daft argument. As much as anything, that just goes to show that not conceding many doesn't necessarily mean your defenders are great.

Go find these good defensive records of keane at Everton over a period of 10 games then and post them

10 seconds of looking tells me there was a run of conceding 5 in 8 games with him in the side in Nov/Dec 20 and then conceding 9 in 12 later the same season. I'm sure that won't count for whatever reason but there you go.

Had to go back a few years there 🤣

I dont think we're gona agree. He's one of those defenders i watch thinking an error leading to a goal is almost guarenteed. A bit like Godfrey.
Nightmares.

Well it’s 2 years and it was literally the only thing I looked at because I remembered it happening but more importantly, for the 4785th time today - WE DO AGREE!!! I think Keane is rubbish, you don’t have to convince me he’s rubbish because I know he is, I was calling him rubbish before it was trendy and have continued ever since. Where we may disagree is that I also believe coady is rubbish, and so don’t think the decision to pick one rubbish player ahead of another rubbish player is the unfathomable madness that some people do. But like I said ages ago, I respect other people’s opinions.

BK and FM don’t even know what the Bundesliga is

No i do think coady is a better option.
Bit i think we've done this to death now. And its pointless. Dyche isnt dropping his boy.

I dont think its over the top to say it could be a big contribution to this club getting relegated.
Obviously cant prove either way. But i think we nick that game against leicester with keane not there.

I believe removing Keane for literally anyone gives us a better chance of picking up points. I think he’s clearly the worst centre back at the club, one of the worst in the league. If we go down a major reason for it will have been Dyche’s stubbornness to keep him in the team, I’m not sure how anyone could think that’s a massively controversial take.
