I thinks hes doing the best job he can. What were your expectatons when he came in? Unrealistic ...or as i think more likely you never wanted to give him a chance.
I get a bit angry with him at times, but let's face it,
This team only just stayed up last year and is weaker.
Said when he came it would be a miracle if we stayed up .
The blame lies further up than him.
We kept lampard far to long.
Not getting a striker in pre season , then compounding it in Jan and actually weakened that position by selling Gordon and releasing Rondon, I know he isn't all that much , but he can hold a ball up at least.
We have been a premier league team in name only for a long time.
I have been disappointed with him to be honest but he was dealt a bad hand to start with.

Dwight Mcneil was the only thing Dyche got wrong in my opinion, but that one mistake cost us a shot at 3 points. Not much you can do when your only lb gets injured before a game like this, but he should have made him a focal point on the left. He tried to throw his best players onto the pitch AKA all of his midfielders (which is fine as long as they are there to cover for McNeil to get forward) but he never got forward for a majority of the game. In hindsight Iwobi should have just played behind McNeil. He has more experience in the position.
I'd say chucking on MICHAEL KEANE to play at RIGHT-BACK is probably a bigger error.

This is all fair, but he probably screwed up today but thankfully got away with it……

If pointing out that the squad was crap was 'defending' him, sure.

I think he was a very poor manager who should have been binned after Brighton at the latest. He also wasn't helped.

The same stands for Dyche. He's had to deal with a very poor squad.

But that doesn't mean I can't criticise him for doing stupid stuff. He just played Michael Keane at RB.

just testing the waters.

I actually thought Keane was alright today. If he never played him it would have been Holgate and people would have moaned

I thought he was the right man for the job, as it made sense. I was hoping we’d get him when we got Benitez.

I’ve been very underwhelmed so far by his inability to change things, I think he’s a very limited manager and that we could do with changing him if we go down.

Surely he brings in a couple of u23 strikers for the bench against Bournemouth... right? We don't need 3 goalkeepers in the squad. I don't know who those 2 lads were on the bench today but he can't think very highly of them if he's still bringing on Maupay - that's it they're even strikers like.
Neither of them are, Reese Welch is a CB, Sean McAllister is an attacking midfielder

I don't think that Keane has ever played RB and chucking him on to play there - when Traore immediately switched - was stupid.

The personnel were on the pitch to move to a 352, so use them. It's not perfect but it's far better than Keane playing at RB.

And FWIW, their goal comes from Keane not being quick enough to track Hwang.

Edit: Obviously, Onana is absolutely at fault for not fouling Traore!

If we had been playing Arsenal or Chelsea etc then simms would have 100% been on the pitch.

Only seems to use him when we are going to isolate him up top on his own. Never had a fair chance.

Think he’s only started 3 games - Away at Chelsea, away at Liverpool and away at Man Utd. I don’t think he’ll ever be a Prem player but he really has been shafted.

I swear to god, if he mentions mentality one more time. I appreciate that it’s important but of equal importance is drilling the team to play some semi decent football and making appropriate changes at the time appropriate times in matches (options permitting)
